We are seeking a team member for the role of Vice President to join our Regulatory Reporting team. This role is located in Jersey City, NJ - Hybrid. In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways: * Assist in the preparation of the daily 15c3-3 customer reserve computation including aggregating data and producing calculations. * Extract, analyze, and interpret large datasets for reporting accuracy. * Conduct in-depth analytical research identifying trends and anomalies to prepare management level commentary on variances. * Develop, maintain, enhance, and validate regulatory reporting policies and procedures ensuring continued compliance with applicable regulations * Prepare complex root cause analysis, develop recommendations and solutions, escalate to management and follow through on issue remediation. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement process improvements to streamline reporting workflows and improve data quality. * Participate in a rotation to prepare certain processes related to broker dealer and bank regulatory reporting including but not limited to 15c3-1 net capital computation, FOCUS, Treasury International Capital (TIC), Basel III, FR-Y9C and FR-2052a reporting. * Assist in the testing and implementation of issue remediation and automation efforts. * Interface with internal stakeholders in the organization to build a broad range of knowledge spanning across finance, treasury, and operations. * Monitor regulatory changes and implement necessary adjustments to reporting frameworks. To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following: * Bachelor's degree in a financial discipline such as Accounting or Finance. * 5-7 years of broker dealer or bank regulatory reporting experience is preferred. * Strict attention to detail, able to prioritize tasks under tight deadlines, demonstrate risk awareness and escalate issues when appropriate. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. * High proficiency in Microsoft Office. * SQL experience a plus. * Team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic. * Excellent technical and effective communication skills. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $83,000 and $159,500 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs. | |
