We are seeking a highly skilled Physical Therapist II to step into aclinical leadershiprole within our rehabilitation team. This position plays a key part in shaping highquality, evidencebased care by guiding the development of advanced patient assessments, treatment planning, and therapeutic interventions. As a senior clinician, youwill help set the tone for clinical excellence and support the continued growth of our therapy programs. In addition to direct patient care, this role serves as apreceptor for new hiresand a mentor for residents and fellow clinicians, helping onboard new team members, strengthen clinical reasoning, and foster a collaborative learning environment.

We are seeking a clinician with strongsafe patient handlingskills and confidence working withmoderate-to high-acuity patient populations. A significant portion of our caseload involves neurorehabilitation, so experience or a strong interest inneurorehabis highly valued. Ideal candidates demonstrate excellent clinical judgment, adaptability, and a commitment to delivering exceptional, patientcentered care.

This position follows a consistent Monday-Friday schedule, with eighthour shifts that support continuity of care and worklife balance. Clinicians participate in one weekend shift every four weeks and two holiday shifts per year, both assigned on a predictable rotation to ensure fairness across the team.

Our clinic is accredited in stroke, spinal cord injury, and cancer rehabilitation, reflecting our commitment to excellence in specialty care. We are actively working toward additional accreditations in amputee rehabilitation and traumatic brain injury, offering clinicians the opportunity to work with diverse and highly specialized patient populations.

Responsibilities:

1. Completes physical therapy documentation, billing, and metrics per team guidelines. Manage daily caseload with efficiency and efficacy. Meets productivity standards per team guidelines.
2. Administers standard and specialized evaluations, therapeutic procedures and interpretation to assist in establishing a plan of care and manages resources to accomplish patient goals; Identifies expected patient outcomes; Communicates relevant information to promote continuity of care.
3. Mentors assistive personnel and delegates responsibilities as per licensing board guidelines. Assists with onboarding of new staff by completing clinical orientation and competency verification.
4. Develops, coordinates, and evaluates specialized programs for specific clinical service areas; engages in research and quality improvement initiatives for the clinical service team and department. Serves as an interdisciplinary liaison.
5. Provides clinical education, clinical precepting and mentoring of students, residents and/or fellows, and other disciplines; participates in competency verification and evaluates the learner's performance. Develops best practices and goals in compliance with departmental and organizational standards.
6. Serves as resource to North Carolina government departments and statewide health professionals in specialty areas; Presents at local (university/hospital) or state level conferences; Participates in community outreach screening and educational events and career promotion efforts.
7. Demonstrates leadership attributes, advocates for the profession and facilitates change, contributes to the professional development of others, promotes initiatives, and exemplifies quality service provision.

Education Requirements:
* Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy program.
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
* Licensed as a Physical Therapist in the state of North Carolina.
* BLS
Professional Experience Requirements:
* Five (5) years of experience as a licensed Physical Therapist, including one (1) year in the specialty field.
Knowledge/Skills/and Abilities Requirements:
* Advanced level clinical skills as evidenced by specialty certifications, additional training and/or expertise in a given clinical specialty.
* Exhibits effective communication and interprofessional skills; requires physical stamina and repetitive movements, including, but not limited to, sitting, standing, kneeling, walking, and squatting during patient interventions while supporting one's weight; can engage in high-level problem-solving to ensure patient safety during mobilization.
