The Opportunity with McKinstry:

McKinstry is seeking a Senior Talent Acquisition Partner to join our Talent Acquisition team in Seattle, WA. This is a strategic, full-time role responsible for partnering with business leaders to attract, engage, and hire top talent across engineering, construction, technical, and corporate functions.

This role serves as a trusted advisor to leaders and HR partners, helping shape workforce strategy while delivering an exceptional candidate and hiring manager experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Talent Partnership

  • Partner with business leaders and HR partners to develop and execute talent acquisition strategies.
  • Build deep understanding of assigned business groups, workforce plans, and critical skill needs.
  • Provide market intelligence and hiring insights to support workforce decisions.
  • Act as a trusted advisor on recruiting best practices and talent trends.
  • Influence hiring decisions through data-driven recommendations.

Recruiting & Talent Delivery

  • Source, recruit, interview, and hire top talent across technical and professional disciplines.
  • Build and maintain strong talent networks within industry-specific communities.
  • Develop creative sourcing strategies to attract high-quality candidates.
  • Maintain a constant and steady focus on the marketplace and report market intelligence.
  • Manage full-cycle recruiting from intake through offer and close.
  • Lead offer negotiations and ensure strong candidate acceptance outcomes.
  • Partners closely with our HRBP team and Compensation team to ensure internal and market equity.
  • Communicate McKinstry's employment value proposition effectively to candidates.
  • Maintain accurate recruiting data and workflows within the Applicant Tracking System.

Innovation & Process Improvement

  • Leverage AI-enabled recruiting tools and technologies to improve sourcing effectiveness, candidate engagement, and recruiting efficiency.
  • Utilize AI-assisted search strategies, talent insights, and workflow automation to enhance hiring outcomes.
  • Develop and implement improvements to recruiting processes and candidate experience.
  • Create advanced search strategies including Boolean and data-driven sourcing techniques.
  • Drive measurable improvements in hiring quality, speed, and experience.

Talent Pipeline Development

  • Build long-term talent pipelines aligned to future workforce needs.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with industry groups and talent communities.
  • Support employer branding and recruiting marketing initiatives.
  • Mentor and support developing recruiters as needed.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 10+ years of corporate progressive senior-level talent acquisition experience.
  • Experience recruiting for technical, construction, engineering, or field-based roles.
  • Demonstrated success partnering with business leaders on strategic hiring initiatives.
  • Experience building talent pipelines and proactive sourcing strategies.
  • Experience utilizing AI-powered recruiting tools or technologies to improve recruiting effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Strong networking and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
  • Experience in engineering, construction, or built-environment industries.
  • Knowledge of federal and multi-state employment laws including EEO, ADA, and OFCCP, and general HR practices.
  • Experience mentoring or leading other recruiters.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • Ability and willingness to travel regionally.

  • Provide personal transportation for meetings and job visits away from the office reimbursed.

  • Normal office working conditions

The pay range for this position is $89,000 - $134,000 per year. Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Base pay information is based on market location.
