We have an opportunity for a Territory Sales Representative covering the Pacific Northwest. You will report directly to the Regional Sales Manager and are responsible for profitable growth of Pentair Water Supply / Water Disposal products (which are purchased through authorized Distributor partners and sold to Dealers / end-users within the geography). This person is also responsible for driving dealer engagement and ensuring the fulfilment of all dealer program requirements, as well as promotion of program benefits. This person will also work with the Marketing Channel Manager to develop distribution and dealer strategies that drive new sales and share growth through our distributor & dealer partners. This person will be based in an optimal location within their geographic location.

You will:

  • Deliver results in the achievement of sales quota in assigned territory through account growth within individual territory and overall regional team growth.
  • Develop annual strategic account plans with distributors that increase top line revenue.
  • Utilize and embrace Salesforce (CRM) to log and track opportunities to a closed status.
  • Own dealer relationships in geography to influence brand preference and sales growth.
  • Review distributors' overall performance on a consistent basis (through quarterly, mid-year, and annual business reviews), identify areas of improvement and make changes when necessary.
  • Understand and report on industry trends.
  • Knowledgeable on distributor strategy: inventory, sales, adjacent business category focuses, etc.
  • Regularly partner with distributors and dealers within a prescribed geographic territory in the effort to build relationships and grow sales.
  • Collaborate with dealers, distributors, and end user organizations on a regular basis to keep them trained and informed about products, product lines, programs, and production capabilities.
  • Effectively manage utilization of CRM tools, both to manage personal opportunities as well as team opportunities, including closing marketing & tech-service generated leads.
  • Participate in regional thought leadership events, including trade shows and industry events, including membership and active participation in industry associations.
  • Travel approximately 40-50% of the time based on RSM direction and customer needs; locally and out-of-the-area.
  • Perform additional duties, as assigned.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent job experience.
  • I have at least 3 years of professional experience working in Outside Sales.
  • Have excellent communication skills (verbal & written).
  • Professional experience with selling finished goods / tangible products.
  • Experience working with products in the water, fluid handling, and/or plumbing industries; understanding of Filtration and/or Membrane Separation technology is a plus.
  • Extensive client-facing experience working with residential & commercial customers.
  • Experience working with Indirect Sales environments, especially with Channel Partners and/or Distribution Networks, is highly preferred. Advanced ability to work in a 2-step distribution model (especially with Dealers, Installers, and/or Contractors) is a plus.
  • Advanced ability to use relevant software programs (e.g., MS Office, Salesforce CRM, etc.)

Compensation:

For this full-time position working at this location, the anticipated TTC range will be from $79500 - $147600 / year. At Pentair, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the pay range. Pentair considers various factors in determining actual compensation for this position at the expected location. Actual compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, work location, and other relevant business or organizational needs. This position may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as, annual incentive bonus, and/or sales incentives.
