Find your superpower with the Graduate Development Program

National Grid's Graduate Development Program (GDP) is a year-long development program for recent college graduates who aspire to take on future leadership roles in a dynamic, ever-changing industry. Graduates will shape the future of National Grid. Bringing fresh thinking, new perspectives, and exploring with energy, we'll give you real responsibility and an opportunity to move with purpose from day one - putting the power to supercharge your career in your hands.

Graduates start their careers at National Grid with an in-depth 3-week in-person Orientation which gives you exposure to all parts of the company, allows you to network with your Graduate cohort, GDP alumni, and senior leaders, and provides you with the opportunity to travel throughout our service territory in the northeast US. Following Orientation, you'll begin working in full-time position outlined below and take part in ongoing development activities including quarterly development sessions, active mentorship, and a Hackathon Project.

About the Position

Are you ready to dive into the world of energy and support National Grid's US Fleet? As an Associate Analyst in Systems and Reporting you'll help maintain, troubleshoot, and enhance fleet systems with a primary focus on the fleet telematics system. You'll gain exposure to telematics, cross-functional teamwork, and real-world fleet operations. This is a data-heavy, back-office analytics role that collaborates across multiple teams and stakeholders, with hands-on opportunities in both field and office environments.

This role requires in-office days for team collaboration, meetings, and training as needed as well as site visits across our US service territories in MA and NY. Your primary office for this position can be in Syracuse, Brooklyn, or Hicksville, NY. Role requirements are subject to change based on business needs.

What You'll Do

In this role, you'll help keep fleet systems running smoothly, turn data into insights, and support leadership with meaningful reporting. You will:

  • Provide support to users of fleet platforms to enable business initiatives and outcomes.
  • Conduct weekly system checks to ensure devices are functioning correctly.
  • Maintain system access controls for thousands of users, upholding security and compliance.
  • Analyze and review system data to drive meaningful improvements.
  • Deliver actionable insights to US Fleet leadership.
  • Develop, review, and distribute reporting and KPIs to stakeholders.
What You'll Need
  • Bachelor or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, or a related field from an accredited institution
  • Graduated between May 2025 and June 2026
  • Ability to begin the National Grid Graduate Program on July 13, 2026
  • Valid driver's license required with a safe driving history that meets National Grid's Safe Driver policy
  • Work authorization that does not now or in the future require sponsorship of a visa for employment authorization in the United States (such as sponsorship for an H-1B, TN, O, L, STEM OPT, or other employment-based work authorization)
It would be awesome if you had
  • Experience with Fleet or experience using Telematics/GPS fleet tracking systems.

Salary Range

Syracuse, NY $60,948 - $71,703 a year

Brooklyn or Hicksville, NY $70,550. - $83,000 a year

Please note US Colleagues must reside within our existing footprint, which includes Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Maine, Rhode Island and Vermont. As a National Grid employee, you should also reside within a reasonable, commutable distance to your assigned primary office.
