Position Overview

QinetiQ is seeking a Building Operations Specialist/Facilities Manager. This role can be based out of Washington DC, Indianapolis, IN, Aliso Viejo, CA or Euless, TX. The successful candidate will provide building operations and maintenance activities, coordinate facility programs and projects, and monitor the execution of a building operations, maintenance, and repair (BOMR) program by assessing maintenance and repair problems, solving problems, and communicating with others in order to ensure the efficient and sustainable operations of the facilities in the program and the satisfaction of the facility occupants.



Responsibilities

    Coordinate with CBP officials, including contracting officer, project managers, Land Port of Entry directors, and regional and district staff.
  • Provide assistance on the development of a variety of acquisition-related program-supported business documents in accordance with Customs and Border Protection, Homeland Security Acquisition Regulation (HSAR), and Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) regulatory requirements, and applicable policies, procedures, and/or Federal directives.
  • Assist in the preparation of Independent Government Costs Estimates (IGCE) and lifecycle costs for acquisition and program support requirements.
  • Assess maintenance and repair requirements and provides recommendations to CBP officials and monitor performance of maintenance and repair contractors and Independent verification and validation contractors and provide advice to CBP officials.
  • Coordinates all aspects of the CBP Building Operations, Maintenance and Repair (BOMR) programs; conduct assessment visits to CBP facilities in order to determine requirements and effectiveness of services provided by maintenance and repair contractors.
  • Maintain situational awareness of building and facility conditions and maintenance and repair requirements at approximately 20 different CBP facilities.
  • Apply extensive familiarity with all building systems (e.g. HVAC, fire & life safety, electrical, mechanical, power distribution, energy management).


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Business, Facility Management, Facility Engineering, or Engineering.
  • Ten (10) years' experience with job-related experience showing progressively increasing levels of performance and responsibility as Facility Management/Facility Engineer/Facility Technician or engineering positions disciplines or property management.
  • Familiarity with Maximo or TRIRIGA or similar facility tracking software
  • Must be a US Citizen
