Continuation past the termlengthdiscussed willbebasedonuniversityneed,performance,and/oravailabilityoffunding.POSITION SPECIFICS The School of Public Policy at The Pennsylvania State University invites applications for an Assistant Teaching Professor in public policy. The position is a full-time, non-tenure-track member of the faculty participating in school governance. The start date for the position is fall, 2026. Candidates must have earned a Ph.D. in public policy, public management, economics, political science, or a related field by the appointment start date. Responsibilities include teaching courses in the undergraduate program and the Master of Public Policy program, advising students, and assisting with assessment for accreditation. The school has needs in public finance, economics policy, statistics, and policy process at the MPP level, and the successful candidate could also teach introductory policy courses, policy analysis, leadership, or substantive policy courses at the undergraduate level. Onsite teaching is an essential function of this job. The teaching load during the academic year is typically six courses. Candidates with demonstrated teaching excellence in public policy, political science, or economics are preferred.
