Job Summary

Strategic Account Managers build long-lasting, mutually beneficial relationships with assigned national account customers, always striving to find the products which best fit the individual needs of the client.

Strategic Account Manager responsibilities include developing strong relationships with customers, responding to customers questions and concerns, and identifying new business opportunities among existing customers.

Strategic Account Managers work with cross-functional internal teams to improve the entire customer experience and ensure the profitability of the account. Strategic Account Managers are responsible for keeping our clients satisfied and engaged with our products and services to maximize retention.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Serve as the lead point of contact for all assigned customer account management matters

  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships

  • Support the customer RFP/Renewal process

  • Develop trusted advisor relationships with key accounts, customer stakeholders and executive sponsors

  • Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives

  • Clearly communicate the progress of initiatives to internal and external stakeholders

  • Develop new business with existing clients and/or identify areas of improvement to meet growth targets

  • Forecast and track key account metrics in required systems (SalesForce, etc).

  • Responsible for A/R management and coordinating with collections team to manage DSO of all assigned accounts.

  • Prepare reports on account status and conduct business reviews at least annually.

  • Collaborate with AE team to identify and grow opportunities within portfolio assigned

  • Assist with challenging client requests or issue escalations as needed

  • Attend required meetings and maintain a positive working relationship with internal teams

  • Successfully complete all LOB/New Product certifications

  • Experience delivering client-focused solutions to customer needs

  • Demonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization, including executive and C-level

  • Proven ability to juggle multiple account management projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to collect, track, and analyze large amounts of data.

  • Adaptability and strong problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent active listening skills.

  • Ability to build rapport and collaborate with others within the company and externally.

  • Understanding of consumer behaviors and industry trends.

  • Extensive, accurate product knowledge.

  • Experience with plant knowledge preferred

Pay Range

Yearly: $73,000.00 - $111,000.00
