Owned Social Strategist - Creator Studio

The team is seeking an Owned Social Strategist to lead organic social strategy and execution for a newly launched subscription-based Creator Studio service. This role will drive social storytelling across owned and operated channels while collaborating with partner channels to build community, engagement, and cultural relevance.
The ideal candidate is passionate about social media, creator culture, and storytelling, with experience leading cross-functional campaigns, managing agencies, and leveraging data to inform strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop social-first strategies, campaigns, and programs supporting the Creator Studio subscription service
- Lead social briefs for campaigns, new formats, and strategic initiatives
- Partner with cross-functional teams to plan and execute integrated social campaigns
- Advocate for social best practices across internal and external stakeholders
- Provide thought leadership on emerging trends, platform innovation, and cultural moments
- Support programming and publishing across owned social channels as needed
- Manage agency and vendor relationships
- Participate in on-call coverage during nights and weekends as needed
Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in digital/social marketing
- 3+ years managing agencies and external vendors
- Experience collaborating directly with creators, artists, and external partners
- Proven experience leading brand social strategy driven by user-generated content
- Strong analytical skills; ability to leverage audience insights, performance data, social listening, and platform trends
- Experience operating in fast-paced, multifaceted environments
- Excellent storytelling and presentation skills
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities
- Experience managing multiple concurrent campaigns
- Experience working with high-profile talent on high-visibility initiatives
- Demonstrated success building and moderating engaged online communities
- Experience working with external social creative agencies
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing social channels for creative software tools
- Experience in the audio (music, podcasts) and/or video creator ecosystem
- Strong understanding of the creator economy
- Deep knowledge of evolving social platforms, audience behaviors, and digital culture
- Cultural fluency across entertainment, tech, fashion, sports, books, podcasts, and music
