As the Research Technician I, you'll be a vital part of a collaborative, interdisciplinary team that supports students and researchers from diverse backgrounds as they pursue datadriven scientific discovery.

What You'll Do:

* Conduct biological data collection, bioinformatics workflows, and singlecell data analyses.

* Compile, analyze, and document procedures, results, and preliminary conclusions from genomic datasets.

* Collaborate with the principal investigator to shape research plans and analysis strategies.

* Modify existing lab or computational techniques to support evolving research needs.

* Review scientific literature to inform experimental and data analysis approaches.

* Use and maintain highperformance computing environments and laboratory databases.

* Train new or junior personnel in data collection and analysis procedures.

* Support preparation of research presentations and publications.

* Maintain databases and contribute to highquality data stewardship.


Requirements:

* Bachelor's or Master's degree in biology, engineering, bioinformatics, or a related quantitative scientific field.

* Preferred experience in computational biology, singlecell perturbation data analysis, and programming in Python or R.

* Interest in machine learning, cancer genomics, and singlecell technologies.

Anticipated Pay Range: Duke University provides an annual base salary range for this position as USD $18.00 to USD $26.49. Duke University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position; candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills; internal peer equity; as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.
