Job Title: Product Support Engineer Location: Greater Atlanta area (northeast side) Hours: 8:30am - 5:30pm FLSA: Exempt, Full-Time, Direct Hire Our client, a specialized provider of high-tech products and engineered solutions for the electronics manufacturing industry, is seeking a Product Support Engineer. This role provides technical support primarily remotely and from the Atlanta office, while also performing on-site field engineering. Travel is expected approximately once per month. Under the guidance of the Senior Technical Manager, you will receive training to ensure success in troubleshooting, installing, repairing, and maintaining an industrial equipment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with hands-on technical experience who enjoys working directly with clients in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities: Provide field technical service and troubleshooting for industrial equipment, including installation, maintenance, repair, and software support.
Coordinate with customers and equipment manufacturers to define specifications, resolve technical issues, and implement effective solutions.
Develop and execute test programs, create technical procedures, and deliver operation and software training to customers and internal staff.
Support sales activities through technical consultations, machinery demonstrations, trade shows, and participation in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT).
Maintain accurate service records and submit internal and manufacturer reports as required.
Escalate technical issues appropriately and communicate field updates to the Engineering Manager in a timely manner.
Provide feedback to manufacturers to support continuous product and quality improvement.
Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications: 3 years of experience in electronics or industrial equipment, including automation or manufacturing systems. Hands-on experience in field service, technical support, or product support for physical equipment.
Ability to read and understand electrical and mechanical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
Strong problem-solving skills for diagnosing and troubleshooting industrial machinery.
Comfortable using computers, Microsoft Office, and CAD software for technical tasks.
Good communication skills, able to collaborate effectively with customers and internal teams.
Willingness to travel 1-2 times per month to customer sites for on-site support.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Engineering, or a related discipline preferred.
Prior field service or customer support experience a plus.
