Fueling Your Passion

As a Mechanic II, you will play a key role in maintaining, repairing, and preparing equipment for operational use. You will work alongside experienced technicians, developing strong technical capabilities across electromechanical systems, diagnostics, and maintenance best practices. Your work will directly support safe and efficient operations for our customers and product lines.

As a Mechanic II, you will be responsible for:

  • Performing equipment maintenance, repairs, and servicing activities to ensure operational readiness.

  • Inspecting equipment to identify faults, deviations, or wear conditions and recommending corrective actions.

  • Reading and interpreting blueprints, wiring diagrams, assembly prints, and parts lists to complete assigned tasks.

  • Using diagnostic tools such as multimeters, megohmmeters, hi pot testers, and other basic instruments.

  • Troubleshooting hydraulic circuits and resolving system faults promptly and accurately.

  • Following formal maintenance procedures, work instructions, and standard operating practices.

  • Documenting maintenance activities, parts usage, and equipment status using basic computer systems.

  • Supporting inventory management activities including part identification and requisitioning.

  • Conducting all work activities in alignment with Baker Hughes HSE policies, Legal Compliance requirements, and Baker Hughes Core Values.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have a Technical Diploma or a minimum of 3 years of relevant industrial experience in an electromechanical function (airline, military, oilfield, automotive, electronics, or similar industries).

  • Have preferred certifications such as A/C Certification, Electrical Maintenance, or Stationary Engineer Certification (preferred but not required).

  • Have experience working with 3 phase 480V electrical systems and single phase 120V electrical systems.

  • Have the ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, wiring diagrams, and engineering documentation.

  • Have the capability to troubleshoot hydraulic and electrical systems effectively.

  • Have experience using diagnostic instruments such as multimeters, megohmmeters, hi pot testers, and basic shop tools.

  • Have foundational computer skills for maintenance documentation and reporting.

  • Have the ability to work safely in an industrial workshop environment while using required personal protective equipment (PPE).

This role is workshop based and may require physical activity such as lifting, bending, and working with mechanical components. You will work according to established safety standards, operational procedures, and shift schedules.
