We are seeking a highly motivated Body In White Raw Material Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) responsible for managing and improving the quality performance of raw material suppliers supporting Body-in-White (BIW) components. The role ensures that steel, aluminum, and related raw materials meet automotive quality, regulatory, and manufacturing requirements. The SQE will work closely with suppliers, purchasing, manufacturing, and engineering teams to ensure robust material quality from sourcing through production. The Body in White Raw Materials Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) is responsible for managing different supplier locations and parts to ensure high quality products are produced and transported to STELLANTIS's Plants. The engineer will provide on-site launch support at suppliers' facilities to ensure launch readiness as required, leading up to and including program launch. They will also be responsible for managing post launch continuous improvement activities and provide on-site support at STELLANTIS assembly plants as required. The Engineer will also be responsible for working cross functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Purchasing to ensure proper designs, suppliers, and manufacturing processes are selected. Typical parts may include any of the following: general stampings, hot stamping, welding, closures, hinges, sealing, vision and lighting, exterior trim, and electro-mechanical parts. Within our Body in White Raw Materials Supplier Quality Engineer roles we ask that our engineer's drive change within both plant manufacturing and component suppliers to resolve complex component issues. It is the engineer's responsibility to ensure component suppliers' processes are robust and capable in order to stay on track and manage key component quality milestones. Overall, the engineer will lead all problem solving activities with internal and external organizations, manage warranty with their suppliers, and ensure best practices/ lessons learned are applied across the several different vehicle programs.
