Summary:

Goldbelt Apex is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to provide day-to-day operational leadership for a complex, multi-objective federal data governance initiative. This role serves as the primary driver of project execution, ensuring adherence to schedule, deliverable quality, resource optimization, and proactive risk management throughout the performance period. The Senior Project Manager will directly support senior program leadership while supervising a team of Lead Business Analysts, facilitating cross-functional coordination, and maintaining alignment with federal standards and contractual requirements.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

  • Manage integrated project planning, detailed scheduling, dependency tracking, milestone monitoring, and performance variance analysis to ensure timely execution.
  • Oversee resource allocation and team deployment in accordance with established staffing models and phased onboarding requirements.
  • Prepare and deliver project management deliverables, including monthly status reports, executive-level briefings, and supporting documentation.
  • Coordinate internal team activities, including scheduling of stakeholder engagements, workshops, and knowledge transfer sessions.
  • Monitor key performance indicators related to schedule, quality, risk, and stakeholder satisfaction; identify issues and escalate appropriately.
  • Maintain comprehensive project records (action logs, risk registers, change requests) using approved collaboration tools with version control.
  • Lead risk identification, assessment, and mitigation activities, with emphasis on stakeholder coordination and operational constraints.
  • Provide direct supervision, mentorship, and guidance to Lead Business Analysts to promote consistent application of best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal regulations, security policies, and privacy standards (e.g., HIPAA).

Qualifications

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

  • Strong ability to identify, assess, and mitigate project risks in dynamic environments.
  • Proven skills in motivating teams, delegating effectively, and resolving conflicts.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication for engaging stakeholders at all levels.
  • Analytical mindset to solve complex issues and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Proficiency in prioritizing tasks, managing deadlines, and maintaining schedule integrity.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • PMP Certification (required).
  • 8-12 years of progressive project management experience, including at least 5 years on complex federal IT, data governance, or healthcare-related initiatives.
  • Demonstrated success managing multi-faceted efforts involving data management, stakeholder engagement across distributed teams, and compliance with federal standards.
  • Proven track record of tracking and reporting schedule, cost, and performance metrics; preparing executive briefings; and resolving operational challenges in regulated settings.
  • Active Secret security clearance (or eligibility) at the level required for federal access.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) or hybrid agile methodologies in federal environments.
  • Familiarity with federal health IT data governance frameworks and interoperability standards.
  • Prior supervisory experience leading business analyst or technical teams on government contracts.

Pay and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $135,00.00 to $160,000.00 annually.
