| Posting Summary |
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Sr. Edit/Media Specialist for Rutgers Communications. Reporting to the Senior Director of Communications and Marketing, this position is responsible for managing the production of large-scale, complex digital communications for high-level university clients to engage numerous constituents.
Among the key duties of the position are the following:
- Serves as content expert, creating, editing, organizing, and updating content for Rutgers-New Brunswick and RBHS chancellor-level websites, including newbrunswick.rutgers.edu and academichealth.rutgers.edu, and other digital communication platforms.
- Leads assigned projects with internal stakeholders, providing feedback and a client-based relationship to ensure deliverables are met for projects.
- Serves as the account manager for multiple projects for complex, detailed websites.
- Serves as the liaison to other teams within the department to provide expertise and guidance on digital best practices for projects initiated by both internal and external stakeholders.
- Handles training units on Drupal and email marketing platforms.

Qualifications
| Minimum Education and Experience |
- Bachelor's degree in digital marketing, communications, or related field or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience that demonstrates knowledge, skill, and understanding of website management and publishing and digital reporting.
- A minimum of five years of relevant experience in a communications, editorial, or marketing role managing and publishing websites.

- Demonstrated practical experience, ability and/or qualification in digital engagement and the principles of online communications and the ability to create and adapt strategy, platforms and content to a variety of audiences.
- Ability to work collaboratively in team environment and get along with diverse personalities while being able to handle multiple competing priorities and working confidently, diplomatically, and decisively under stress with senior administrators, faculty, students, staff, and other both internally and externally.
- Drupal CMS training, familiarity with audio/video production, a solid knowledge of the digital media landscape.
- Experience utilizing digital platforms to successfully communicate complex information.
- Experience using the Adobe Suite and analytics programs to produce analytics reports.
- Ability to be organized and detail orientated with strong planning, project management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure of deadlines.

- 5 years of relevant experience as a communications professional at an institution of higher learning.
- Advanced experience and knowledge of managing digital communications issues within a large and complex organization.
