Major Responsibilities:

  • Request for Proposal (RFP) responsibilities: serve as the Pharmacy point of contact for account RFPs; manage all aspects of coordinating the Pharmacy response
  • Request for Information (RFI) responsibilities: serve as the Pharmacy point of contact for RFIs; manage all aspects of coordinating the Pharmacy response.
  • Maintain and update the database of Pharmacy responses for RFPs and the RFP tracking log
  • Work closely with clinical subject matter experts, the PBM, and Sales/Marketing to support messaging of Pharmacy management programs and initiatives
  • Collaborate with colleagues in Health & Medical Management to identify opportunities to showcase the value of pharmacy-medical integration in RFP responses
  • Maintain external-facing collateral used for RFP responses, ensuring the most up to date version is provided. This also includes maintaining up to date drug lists to support proposal responses.
  • Work closely and collaboratively with the entire Pharmacy team and other key departments throughout Blue Cross as needed to understand, monitor, and document new account solution initiatives.
  • Identify and present emerging market trends in RFPs to help drive Pharmacy Clinical market programs.
  • Support developing best practices across the team, to improve efficiencies and strategic positioning to the market
  • Actively represent Pharmacy on interdepartmental teams and work groups as needed
  • Maintain archive of completed RFPs and RFIs, with all relevant analyses and documentation

Qualifications (Knowledge, skills, and abilities):

  • Strong attention to detail, organizational and time management skills to execute on a variety of projects under specific time restraints
  • Strategic thinker with a passion for learning and understanding, with ability to connect dots and effectively translate internal descriptions and terminology into client-facing content
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-directed, ability to anticipate and initiate tasks as necessary and work independently to meet deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration with PBM and other internal business areas, including ability to facilitate meetings
  • Solid knowledge and use of Microsoft Office software, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

Education/Relevant Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent working experience
  • 5+ years of Managed Care industry experience required, experience with Clinical/Pharmacy strongly preferred
  • Previous experience with Proposals and/or Project Management a plus.
Minimum Education Requirements:

High school degree or equivalent required unless otherwise noted above

LocationHingham Time TypeFull time Salary Range: $93,833.51 - $119,570.00

The job posting range is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee's pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs and affordability.

This job is also eligible for variable pay.
