Duties and Responsibilities: The NAR Logistics Manager oversees the outbound logistics process, managing logistics operations, optimizing efficiency, and ensuring timely delivery of goods. Responsibilities include strategic planning, team leadership, budget definition, managing financial resources efficiently, audit and validate 3PLs and implementing cost-effective logistics solutions. This role requires a blend of operational expertise, financial acumen, and project management skills to ensure the successful coordination of logistics activities within budgetary constraints. The position often face challenges like optimizing the logistics footprint, addressing supply chain disruptions, and balancing cost-efficiency with service quality. Adaptability and strategic problem-solving are key in overcoming these hurdles. The Logistics Manager interacts with various departments such as S&OP, Sales, Procurement, Finance, Trade Compliance, R&D, Quality. The effective collaboration across these areas ensures a streamlined supply chain. Key responsibilities: * Manage all the ACIM NAR Logistics Outbound Freight and Finished Goods Warehouses (total of around USD 40 million/year expected for FY23, versus USD54M in FY22) * Responsible for the inventory accuracy in all 3PLs, Duluth and Rancho Cucamonga Warehouse, in a total of around USD 49.6M in inventory * Manage the Projects/improvements and build the future Logistics operations strategy * Define and track the processes KPIs * Manager two Warehouse NIDEC Operations - Duluth, GA and Rancho Cucamonga, CA; and all USA 3PLs (currently 11 3PLs running), being directly responsible for the shipping of around USD20M/month * Technical validation, directly participation in the decision process and tracking of all 3PLs operations * Build and manage the NAR Logistics operation budget People Management * Develop and contribute to the individual growth of team members; * Promote the motivating environment by setting challenging but achievable goals; * Lead teamwork with respect, integrity and credibility, adopting direct, transparent and objective dialogue with weekly individual and group monitoring, seeking the effective participation of everyone to achieve and exceed goals while keeping the personal well-being of team members. * Maintain contact with other divisions and regions to change knowledge and measure best practices * Participate in the recruitment and selection process of members of your work team, inspiring and retaining the talents Processes Management * Outbound Freight: Manage the planning, coordination and execution of the transportation and shipment activities, including managing carriers, optimizing routes, be in touch with Procurement to ensure we are using the most competitive options and track the correct carrier allocation, as well as ensure the cost-effective and timely delivery of goods. * Duluth / Rancho Warehouse Operation: Warehouse operation management of these 2 NIDEC operations (Duluth - Georgia; Rancho Cucamonga - California), being responsible to ensure the operation control in line with Nidec standards while keeping a safe environment for employees; inventory accuracy; following cycle counting processes; budget / cost Management * 3PLs: Manage the outsourced warehouses in the USA and Canada, including the selection/technical validation of partners, daily shipments control, cost effectiveness track, control of the inventory turns, as well as yearly inventory count. * Approval of warehouses invoices in Dataserv (USD50k) * Budget and Cost Management: Responsible for planning, allocating and monitoring financial resources related to all NAR ACIM Outbound and FG Warehouses operation, analyzing the costs related to transportation, warehousing, employees, as well as any other logistics activities; develop the yearly budget, track expenses, and implement strategies to optimize spending while maintaining operational effectiveness. Projects Management * Responsible to plan, ensure the execution and that the projects meet goals within constraints like time, budget, and scope. * Coordinate multi-functional teams, manage resources and engage people from different departments and different hierarchical levels, mitigate risks, and communicate with stakeholders, playing a pivotal role in the project's success. * Leading the digitalization of logistics operations, searching and leading the implementation of innovative technologies to enhance efficiency and visibility. Responsible to conduct the team on identifying digital solutions, integrating them into existing processes, aiming to optimize supply chain processes, improve real-time tracking, and leverage data analytics for better decision-making, ultimately driving a more agile and technologically logistics operation. Strategic Plan * Lead the construction of a comprehensive roadmap for the optimization of supply chain processes. * Conduct analyses, define key aims, propose work front prioritizations * Sharing the strategic vision with the Global department, addressing potential challenges, and ensuring alignment with overall business goals, as well as ensuring the allocation of resources to the implementation of the key initiatives Key relations / customers * Main internal customers: o Finance Senior Director o Inside Sales Director o Sales & Operations Planning Director o Trade Compliance Director o Marketing Vice President * Main pairs: o Global Logistics Sr Manager o Las Cruces Warehouse Director o Global Logistics Procurement Director o NAR Inbound & S&OP Logistics Sr Manager Other informations * NAR Logistics Director direct backup in his absence/vacations * Responsible to take part in the decision analysis as approval for 3PL and carriers * Directly responsible for the Outbound USM MBR monthly information (closure analysis, OTL definition, projects) * Managing a multi-cultural team, with members in: o Mexico: Apodaca, NL o USA: Duluth, GA; Southaven, MS; Rancho Cucamonga, CA; Chicago, IL; St Louis, MO o Philippines: Manilla Education and Experience: * High School Diploma in Engineering / Administration * 10+ years of experience in Logistics / Supply Chain * Knowledge on cost management, logistics operations, sales, SOX * Strong leadership skills, effective communication, sense of urgency, decision-making, and the ability to motivate and guide the team. * Ability to work under pressure and to adapt to different environments Job Description Oversees daily activities of the plant production operations. Develops and manages production schedules to meet internal volume, cost and quality goals. Drives continuous improvement and optimization of all processes.
