Job Description:

Microchip Technology Inc. is a global leader in advanced electronic solutions. For over 70 years, our facility has supported exciting technologies used in space exploration, communications, GPS, and defense systems.

We are looking for Production Specialists (Wire Bond) to join our manufacturing team. This is a hands-on role where you will be trained to operate precision equipment used to assemble crystal oscillators.

If you enjoy detailed work, have good hand-eye coordination, or have hobbies like sewing, crocheting, or crafting - this role may be a great fit for you!

Job Responsibilities:
  • Operate wire bonding equipment to assemble electronic components (training provided)

  • Follow written instructions and work specifications carefully

  • Inspect your work to ensure it meets quality standards

  • Record basic production and inspection information

  • Work with teammates and supervisors to meet daily production goals

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area

  • Follow all safety and quality procedures

    Requirements/Qualifications:

    • Willingness to learn and follow detailed instructions
    • Strong attention to detail and hand-eye coordination
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Basic computer, math, and reading skills
    • Good communication and listening skills
    • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
    • Reliable attendance
    • Ability to wear required protective equipment
    • Must be 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Manufacturing or production experience
    • Technical coursework, certification, or associate degree
    • Experience working with small parts or precision tools

    Schedule:

    • M-F, 3:30pm-12am -> 10% shift differential applied when working this shift.

    Starting Rate: $18/hour
