| Position Summary |
This position will serve as an Associate Clinical Research Coordinator within the Department of Psychiatry working primarily on the Adverse Adolescent Pathways to Substance Use Study (
APSU) also known as the Pathways to Adolescent Success Study (
PASS) which is a multidisciplinary, longitudinal research project led by Drs. Aysenil Belger, Diana Fishbein, and Ty Ridenour within the Psychiatry Department focused on examining neurobiological, physiological, and behavioral development in adolescents with symptoms of anxiety. The Associate Clinical Research Coordinator is responsible for the execution of clinical research protocols, including leading efforts in gathering, compiling, and reporting data for a variety of research studies.
The Associate Clinical Research Coordinator serves as the primary point of contact for all study protocols and coordination, including recruitment, screening, enrollment and management of study participants, supervision of the execution of study procedures, conducting study visits, and entering, reviewing, and analyzing study data.
This position also assists with the preparation and submission of regulatory documents, including Institutional Review Board (
IRB) modifications, amendments, and adverse event reporting, as well as budget management and purchase reconciliation.
Finally, this position is responsible for the training and education of research staff and undergraduate research assistants, the facilitation of team meetings and communication across study domains, and other coordination aspects of a collaborative multidisciplinary clinical research study. |
| Minimum Education and Experience Requirements |
Bachelor's degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. |
| Management Preferences |
- Proficiency in using electronic data capture systems and statistical analysis software (e.g., SPSS, SAS, R).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Previous experience coordinating projects and conducting clinical research with human subjects, particularly experience working with adolescents.
- Familiarity with diagnostic criteria for anxiety disorders (DSM-5 or ICD-11) and experience using standardized assessment tools is strongly preferred.
- Prior experience assisting in the preparation of IRB submissions and other regulatory documents.
