Strategy Analyst

The Opportunity:

As a Lead Strategy Analyst, you will help shape the growth and direction of the Global Defense Sector (GDS). You will conduct sectorlevel strategic analysis, evaluate market and competitive dynamics, and convert insights into actionable recommendations. You will work in partnership with senior leaders, capture teams, finance, and delivery partners to drive datainformed decisions that strengthen our portfolio and guide investment and pipeline priorities. Your work will directly inform strategic choices and influence how the sector positions itself for future mission needs. Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead strategy analyses, including market sizing, whitespace assessments, competitive or partner scans, and portfolio performance evaluations to inform GDS priorities.

  • Develop and mature GDS data strategy, including KPIs, data governance standards, and repeatable analytic products such as dashboards or scorecards.

  • Deliver executiveready analysis, insights, and narratives that guide seniorlevel decisionmaking on pursuits, capabilities, and investments.

  • Partner with capture, BD, and finance teams to prioritize pipeline opportunities and align analytic support to win strategies.

  • Advance automation and analytics tooling using platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, and Python or R, as needed.

  • Mentor junior analysts, establishing work plans, reviewing deliverables, and supporting career development.

  • Assess and monitor defense sector budget signals, programmatics, policy developments, and competitive shifts to anticipate market demand.

  • Coordinate with stakeholders across leadership, finance, delivery, and talent to maintain alignment on strategic objectives and performance measures.

  • Uphold company standards for protecting client and internal information.

You Have:

  • 5+ years of experience in strategy, market and competitive intelligence, corporate strategy, or business analytics

  • Experience in leading complex analytic workstreams and delivering strategic recommendations to senior leaders

  • Experience with supporting defense, aerospace, or national security clients

  • Ability to collaborate across business development, finance, and delivery teams on strategic initiatives

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Data, Analytics, Engineering, or Public Policy

Nice If You Have:

  • 7+ years of experience in business development, growth, or sales operations

  • Experience building KPI frameworks, data governance processes, or analytic automation

  • Experience with cloud analytics environments, such as Azure or AWS

  • Experience with mentoring or leading analysts

  • Experience in developing dashboards or analytic products using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or advanced Excel

  • Ability to synthesize data and communicate insights through clear, concise executivelevel writing and briefings

  • Master's degree in Business, MS Analytics, Applied Economics, Public Policy, or a related field

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $112,800.00 to $257,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
