Brief Description: The Associate Director, Procurement will serve as a strategic partner responsible for category leadership across the Technology area, called Digital Enterprise Capabilities (DEC). This role will enable DEC leaders to deliver their digital strategy by establishing scalable category strategies, prioritizing enterprise demand, managing strategic supplier relationships, and driving innovation and sustainable value across the organization. This role will stay ahead of rapidly evolving technology trends-including cloud services, data & analytics, SaaS, AI/ML, and digital workplace solutions-and translate market insights into actionable procurement strategies, enabling capability roadmaps. Reporting to the Director, responsible for Indirect Procurement, the Associate Director will serve as a trusted advisor and objective advocate for the procurement organization, fostering strong partnerships with DEC and other cross-functional leaders across Jazz. The role will require travel to Jazz US and global offices as required, supplier sites and other meetings locations as necessary. Essential Functions: The following responsibilities will be in-scope: 1. Category Management:
Accountable for developing, executing, and continuously improving comprehensive category strategies for technology spend aligned with business objectives. Analyze market trends, pricing shifts, benchmarks, and emerging capabilities to proactively identify opportunities for savings, cost optimization and innovation. Subject matter expert (knowledge of industry, major players, threats, opportunities, terms etc.) Manage the end-to-end competitive sourcing process (i.e. specifications, statements of work, performance terms, and/or acceptance criteria); Manage an efficient supplier selection process driving the team towards a timely decision with all risks identified. Negotiate master agreements as well as other associated contracts (SOWs, Change Orders, etc.) and detailed budgets and payment schedules.
2. Business Partnering:
Partner with DEC leadership to understand business needs and deliver procurement solutions that support their goals. Build trustbased relationships with stakeholders at all levels to shape early demand, challenge assumptions, and guide business partners toward optimal commercial and risk outcomes. Communicate effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels, including executive forums. Establish effective cross-functional relationships (With other functions such as Commercial, R&D, Legal, Finance and others) to ensure seamless execution of initiatives.
3. Supplier Relationship Management:
Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers to ensure performance, innovation, and continuous improvement. Lead contract negotiations and ensure favorable terms that mitigate risks and maximize value. Monitor supplier performance and drive resolution of disputes or performance issues. Developing a governance model, conducting supplier segmentation, gain buy-in from the business owners, develop a category-wide set of key performance indicators and implement the infrastructure to support ongoing efforts by leading Supplier Business Reviews.
4. Reporting/Forecasting/Budgeting/Savings:
Partner with the Business and Finance to produce an annual Budget and regular re-forecasts based on category insights, negotiates commercial terms, and roadmap planning. Collaborate with Finance to input financial information required for projects, project proposals, make versus buy processes and other strategic scenarios developed by the Business requiring external cost input Actively track and report on savings as a result of Procurement's engagement
Required Education, Knowledge and Skills
Bachelor's degree in business, Information Systems, Supply Chain, or related field; MBA or CPSM preferred. Minimum 10 years Procurement experience with progressive responsibility, at least 5 years in technology category management. Deep expertise of enterprise IT domains including cloud infrastructure, software licensing, digital product development, data platforms, AI/ML solutions, collaboration tools, and IT services. Experience in biotech/pharmaceutical industry preferred Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team Excellent verbal and written communication and skills including the ability to effectively tailor communication to varying levels within the organization Commercially astute, strong planning and analytical skills, including financial modelling, Excel, and Excellent PowerPoint skills essential. Strong business acumen with exceptional analytical, financial modeling, and strategic problemsolving skills. Ability to navigate ambiguity, manage competing priorities, and influence without authority in a matrixed environment. Proven track record of leading complex negotiations yielding significant cost reduction and managing large-scale, strategic supplier partnerships. Experience with Coupa's Business Spend Management Platform (all Source to Pay modules) preferred

For this role, the full and complete base pay range is: $152,000.00 - $228,000.00 Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, and other pertinent factors. The goal is to ensure fair and competitive compensation aligned with the candidate's expertise and contributions, within the established pay framework and our Total Compensation philosophy. Internal equity considerations will also influence individual base pay decisions. This range will be reviewed on a regular basis. At Jazz, your base pay is only one part of your total compensation package. The successful candidate may also be eligible for a discretionary annual cash bonus or incentive compensation (depending on the role), in accordance with the terms of the Company's Global Cash Bonus Plan or Incentive Compensation Plan, as well as discretionary equity grants in accordance with Jazz's Long Term Equity Incentive Plan.
