Description

The Field Service Supervisor is responsible for leading branch Service Department personnel through field service repairs. Duties include mentoring and leading field service technicians, providing technical assistance, work order reviews, service call research and review, service truck maintenance and inspections, collaboration with customers and other branch personnel, and other duties not specified.

Essential Responsibilities and Expectations



  • * Lead field service technicians by assisting with safe job procedures, using proper repair guidelines, helping with parts issues, maintaining field service trucks, assisting with tooling needs.
    * Conduct technician reviews timely and accurately.
    * Create service quotations based on technician diagnostic feedback
    * Review all service calls for proper time entry, quality service reports, and necessary supporting information for warranty or contract needs.
    * Communicate with field service advisor daily and manage workload capacity.
    * Ride with field techs on regular cadence to provide a better employee and customer experience.
    * Update customers as needed
    * Effectively communicate with internal personnel to address customer needs.


Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Experience:



  • Experience as a service technician and/or understanding heavy equipment repairs is required for this position.
  • Using personal computers including Microsoft Word and Excel and basic typing skills are required for this position.
  • Must possess or demonstrate the ability to quickly acquire the following required Skills and Competencies.

Working Conditions

Work is normally performed in a Service Department shop office or shop environment. Exposure to physical risk and variable weather conditions is associated with this position. Standing on hard surfaces for extended periods of time is often required.
