Overview The Indirect Procurement team is looking for individuals to fill the role of Senior Procurement Specialist. This position is responsible for all procurement activities supporting the Engineering Services and Information Technology Services teams. As a senior procurement specialist, you may also be called upon to source, manage, renew, and optimize a portfolio of services contracts to deliver consistent +1 Customer Experiences, process efficiencies, and measurable cost savings for Facilities & Field Services and other departments across Electric, Gas, Central, and Customer Operations. In this role you will manage services related procurement transactions and partner with internal customers, suppliers, the Law Department, Third-Party Risk Management, and SEED, with a strong focus on safety, compliance, and inclusion. Core Responsibilities
- Ensure employee, customer, public, and site safety are always considered in procurement strategy, and contribute proactively to maintaining Companys safety-focused culture, including through purposeful field visits with team.
- Maintain rigorous adherence to Company policies & procedures governing procurement.
- Collect, parse, and analyze relevant datasets to drive informed decision-making at the outset of the procurement journey.
- Structure, document, and execute Requests for Quotations and Request for Proposals (including for competitive bid events) in Oracle.
- Negotiate service level requirements, pricing, and timelines with suppliers and liaise with Law Department to negotiate terms & conditions for procurement contracts.
- Ensure existing contracts in portfolio are adequately funded and are renewed (competitively when possible) without disruption to service.
- Seek and apply real-time feedback from internal customers and suppliers to adjust procurement strategies for improved procurement outcomes.
- Deliver cost savings for internal customers through procurement outcomes.
- Address issues that arise with suppliers constructively to ensure continuity of business operations and compliance with policies & procedures.
- Incorporate Third-Party Risk Management data in contract negotiations to mitigate risks and lower total cost of ownership.
- Increase diverse supplier spend in key procurement categories.
- Seek suppliers commitment to Con Edisons sustainability principles and practices.
- Deliver impactful presentations to senior executive leadership.
Qualifications
Required Education/Experience
- Bachelor's Degree 4 years related work experience as and 4 years related work experience as senior level procurement experience
- Master's Degree 2 years related work experience as and 2 years related work experience as senior level procurement experience
Relevant Work Experience
- Experience in commercial or contract negotiations, required.
- Ability to analyze large complex datasets to make reasonable business decisions, required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365, required.
- Proficiency in Oracle EBS or similar enterprise resource planning application, required.
- Supply Chain experience at operations level, preferred.
- Experience using Agile, Scrum, or Rapid Results in project management or product development, preferred.
Licenses and Certifications
- Driver's License Required

Additional Physical Demands
- The selected candidate will be assigned a System Emergency Assignment (i.e., an emergency response role) and will be expected to work non-business hours during emergencies, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be able to respond to Company emergencies by performing a System Emergency Assignment to restore service to our customers.
