What You'll Do:

Plant Administration Support Supervisor is responsible for providing oversight and general supervision of Plant Office Administrators (POAs) and Customer Service Weighmasters (CSWs). Ensuring accurate and timely recording of inventory, revenue, and timekeeping transactions at plant locations is key to this position. Additionally, the Plant Admin Supervisor will monitor and assist locations during the month end close process. This role must develop a strong understanding of Vulcan applications utilized to manage plant office activities. This position is instrumental in providing training and support to current and new POAs & CSWs on the use of these applications. Applications described include point of sale system, inventory management system, procurement system, and employee time keeping systems.

Effective problem solving and communication skills are essential for success in this role. The individual must get along well with others and be able to lead a team. The role will help to maintain governance and compliance at the facilities for the East Division, providing accounting process support services and conducting plant audits. Additionally, paid time off coverage for POA/CSW will be coordinated through the Plant Administration Supervisor. The incumbent will also assist Plant Managers with recruiting and performance oversight of the POAs/CSWs. For example, the Supervisor will assist Plant Managers in reviewing and updating quarterly performance dialogues and annual salary reviews.

Extensive day and night travel is required in order for this position to meet and work with each of their designated locations.

Qualifications

Education, Experience, Skills Required

Education: Minimum: High School Degree (or GED) with relevant industry experience and work background. Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Business discipline.

Experience: Preferred 2-5 years of supervisory experience and at least two years general administrative/accounting experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

- Excellent interpersonal and business planning skills.

- Acts with integrity and honesty in business transactions, promoting company policies and holding self and others accountable.

- Excellent people management and supervisory experience.

- Ability to prioritize, solve problems and provide supervision throughout the geographic footprint.

- Understanding of basic accounting principles.

- Proficiency with Word and Excel required.

Other Requirements:

- Must be able to travel 100% of the time, if necessary.

- Proficient use of computers, cell phones and other electronic devices is essential.

- Must be able to effectively manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
