Job Title: Jet Operator
SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Dye Supervisor and Team Leader and as part of the Kenansville production team, the role will have responsibility for producing dyed fabric by following detailed work instruction and following the standard operation of procedures. You will load and unload jet dye machines while ensuring you are maintaining high levels of production and quality standards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

- Follow all safety standards.
- Review dye house host status screen for manufacturing orders to be processed.
- Capable of using a computer to print out SOP (Standard Operation Procedure) for jet dye machines.
- Able to identify different types of jet dye machines.
- Insist other operators in quality checks, current dye order verification, and correct carrier at the jet dye machine.
- Capable of reading a SOP to load the jet dye machine.
- Loading machines consist of reaching, pulling, guiding, and tying.
- Climb a ladder
- Turn off and on pressure gauges according to SOP
- Sew fabric together using a sewing machine
- Lock down machine hatch door with latches attached to the machine
- Capable of reading a SOP to unload the jet dye machine.
- Perform a seam search
- Pull fabric out of the machine
- Cut fabric using scissors
- Retrieve sample swatch for the fabric shade verification
- Toss heavy fabric on unloading doffing reel
- Retrieve a wet fabric carrier to unload and move to a holding area for next process
- Operate a walking mule and a riding mule
- Identify next process of the manufacturing order
- Enter carrier numbers into the WIP control
- Record jet machine information on the manufacturing order
- Maintain good housekeeping in the work area.
- Monitor safety concerns
- Perform other duties as directed by the dyehouse supervisor and team leader
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

KNOWLEDGE OF
- Understanding of textile manufacturing methods
- Problem solving skills with difficulties completing tasks
- Identify and communicate issues with the jet machines
- Visual Process Manager program
- Basics, WIP Control, WIP Production Maintenance
ABILITY TO
- Read, write, and speak and understand in English, in order to interpret documents such as specifications, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, reports, business correspondence, regulatory and procedure manuals.
- Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with co-workers, Supervisors and Managements. Work independently with little or no supervision and be a team player.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

- The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance.
- Constantly lift up to 10 pounds, may frequently lift up to 20 pounds, and occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds.

- Constantly work under tight time constraints.
