Position Title: Quality Technician
Wage: $20-$24/hour Shift: 1st Hours: 6am-2:30pm We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Technician to join a company in Elkhorn, WI. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in inspecting stainless steel products, a thorough understanding of industry standards, and proficiency in using basic inspection tools and equipment. This is an associate to hire opportunity. Quality Technician Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Inspect incoming and in-process stainless steel products to ensure compliance with food and pharmaceutical industry standards, including ASME BPE specifications (preferred) - Utilize inspection tools such as calipers, height gauges, profilometers, and other measuring devices - Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and product specifications accurately - Perform visual and dimensional inspections to verify products meet required tolerances and surface finish criteria - Document inspection results and maintain accurate records of quality checks - Identify and report non-conforming materials or processes to appropriate teams for corrective action - Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues and support continuous improvement initiatives - Stay current on industry standards and best practices related to stainless steel products in food and pharmaceutical applications - Share knowledge and past experience to help improve processes and maintain quality standards Quality Technician Requirements: - High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or quality inspection certification is a plus - Minimum 2 years of experience as a quality inspector, preferably with stainless steel products - Proficient in inspection equipment (calipers, height gauges, profilometers, etc.) - Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings - Familiarity with ASME BPE, 3-A, and other relevant industry standards is preferred - Excellent attention to detail and accuracy - Strong communication and documentation skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Basic computer skills, including Outlook, Excel, and ERP systems - Foster clear, positive, and respectful communication - Support a healthy, collaborative work environment - Respect confidentiality and actively participate in company initiatives - Embrace continuous improvement and customer-first thinking - Demonstrate Integrity, Trust, Creativity, Courage, Teamwork, and Excellence - Regular and consistent attendance is mandatory - Lift, reach, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, carry objects, climb stairs, and commute to the work location QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
