Public Works Summer Staff

This job offers the opportunity to be part of the Department of Public Works team that maintains the parks, streets and set-up for special events.

• General park maintenance
• Restroom cleaning
• Pavement marking
• Catch basin cleaning
• Building and grounds maintenance
• Barricade set-up and removal
• Parts organization
• Mowing, trimming and brush cutting
• Flower bed maintenance
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, supervisors, and the public.
• Must be reliable and able to work independently.
• Other duties as assigned.

• A valid Wisconsin Drivers License and good driving record
• Must be at least 16 years of age
• Must be reliable and able to work independently
• Should be available to work approximately 40 hours per week during the summer months.
• Wisconsin ATV/UTV Certification or ability to obtain within 2 weeks of hire. The Village will assist with obtaining this certification.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to stand, walk, bend, squat, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, push/pull, and lift up to 50 pounds regularly. Position requires the ability to work outside and includes exposure to changing weather conditions.
