Job Summary

The Director of Procurement oversees the procurement strategy and financial planning for the organization, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives. This role involves managing the procurement budget, optimizing supplier relationships, and leading a team to achieve cost-effective purchasing solutions.

Responsibilities

Job Duty 1 - Design and implement procurement strategies that align with the organization's financial goals and objectives, ensuring cost efficiency and value for money.

Job Duty 2 - Evaluate and improve procurement processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and streamline operations within the procurement department.

Job Duty 3 - Lead and mentor the procurement team, fostering a collaborative environment and encouraging professional development to enhance team performance.

Job Duty 4 - Create detailed reports and presentations for senior management, outlining procurement activities, financial performance, and strategic recommendations.

Job Duty 5 - Collaborate with other departments, such as finance, operations, and supply chain, to ensure alignment of procurement initiatives with overall business objectives.

Job Duty 6- Oversee the procurement budget by monitoring expenditures, evaluating financial performance, and making necessary adjustments to optimize resource allocation.

Job Duty 7 - Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors, negotiating contracts and terms to ensure favorable pricing and quality of goods and services.

Job Duty 8 - Analyze market trends and industry developments to identify potential opportunities for cost savings and enhancements in procurement processes.

Job Duty 9 - Develop and enforce procurement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, as well as internal financial policies.

Job Duty 10 - Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree in related discipline or equivalent, related experience.

Required Experience
8+ years of relevant experience, including 4+ years of supervisory knowledge.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Educational Qualifications
Master's degree in related discipline or equivalent, related experience.

Proposed Salary

Annual Salary: $127,000 - $152,000
