We are seeking a Senior Manager, Operations & Innovation Finance who will oversee all aspects of financial planning, analysis, and reporting specific to Operations and Innovation for the global business. This individual will be a key partner to the Operations, Innovation, and Brand teams and the finance lead for all related projects and process improvements. You will report directly to the VP, FP&A and work closely with the SVP Global Supply Chain and VP Brand and Innovation. As an important member of the Finance team, you will work with other business senior leaders especially in Operations, Innovation, Distribution, Sales, Logistics, IT, Analytics and Accounting teams.

** This is a hybrid position with required 3 days a week working on-site in our Oakland, CA office

What you'll do:



  • Lead financial planning processes for Operations, including forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Drive strategic cost management by analyzing product costs, supply chain expenses, and physical distribution costs, identifying cost-saving opportunities and areas for improvement.
  • Develop robust financial models to evaluate existing and potential contracts, capital expenditures, and operational investments, assessing risks and returns.
  • Lead P&L development for all new products and support commercialization and portfolio related analysis
  • Conduct detailed cost analysis and scenario modeling to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Identify, implement, and track strategies and projects designed to enhance operational efficiency, streamline workflows, and reduce waste.
  • Develop and maintain KPI dashboards that track financial performance, logistics spending, COGS, and cost savings, enabling informed decision making by leadership team
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish financial benchmarks and performance metrics that drive efficiency and profitability.
  • Provide actionable insights to senior leadership by delivering detailed analyses of cost drivers, trends, and operational financial impacts.
  • Complete any ad hoc financial reports, tasks, and projects assigned by the direct supervisor, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement by training and coaching team members on improvement methodologies, problem-solving techniques, and quality standards to empower them to participate in process improvement.
  • Partner with the Accounting and Operations team to help ensure efficient and effective month-end closing processes that impact inventory, to ensure accurate financial reporting, data validation and reconciliations to maintain the integrity of cost accounting & GAAP reporting.
  • Ensure proper cost accounting procedures, including BOM accuracy and cost roll-ups.
  • Comply, enact, and promote compliance with financial policies and internal controls surrounding inventory, providing training and support to Operations staff on financial best practices.
  • Partner with IT and Business Intelligence teams to enhance reporting and ERP functionalities, including NetSuite improvements and 3rd party software integrations around inventory and logistics.


What you'll Bring:



  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 5 years of management experience, including proven track record of meeting or exceeding objectives
  • Minimum 8 years' experience in a Finance position
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience food industry experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience, preferred
  • Deep understanding of cost accounting principles and financial analysis.
  • Ability to interpret complex data sets to identify trends and inform decision-making.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify root causes of issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Proven experience in planning, executing, and managing improvement projects from initiation to completion.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, including fluency with Excel Pivot Tables, and function formulas
  • Familiarity with ERP systems; NetSuite preferred
  • Familiarity with Project Management tools; including Smartsheet
  • Familiarity with BI tools such as PowerBI
  • Demonstrated analytical and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in English. Fluency in Portuguese or Spanish a plus

The pay range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors; actual pay offered may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Sales commissions and/or variable pay plans are also offered depending on the position (ex: monthly, quarterly, annual bonuses). Salary Range

$157,000 - $205,000 USD
