The Lead Principal Radiologic Technologist
(LPRT), supervised by the General Diagnostic Manager and Medical Director,
operates radiographic equipment to produce diagnostic images following
prescribed protocols and procedures. As the LPRT you will demonstrate
proficiency in conducting procedures on patients across all age groups,
ensuring timely completion of studies with adherence to quality standards.
Moreover, it is expected that you educate patients, assist in sterile technique
procedures and uphold patient confidentiality throughout the examination
process. Additionally, proficiency in enhanced fluoroscopic duties in areas
such as GI and GU arenas, Angiography, or Pediatric Diagnostics is an integral
aspect of this position.

Training for this role is required. The
training will be variable days and shifts Monday through Friday. The training
will primarily occur in our Westwood Hospital area as needed at Santa Monica
and MLK Imaging areas. The training at those areas may take at least 3 months.
The duration of training and days of the training will be at the discretion of
your Direct Supervisor.

The LPRT
is expected to support UCLA healthcare radiology locations in the Westwood and
Santa Monica region.
Support
at all radiology sites staffed by UCLA Health is required. All Radiologic
Technologists need to possess the skills, knowledge and abilities essential to
the successful performance of duties assigned to the position; graduate of a
Radiologic Technology Training Program approved by the American Medical
Association or equivalent training, maintaining current CRT, CRT - Fluoro and
ARRT licensure.

Salary:
$58.74 - $77.50 Hourly

    from American Heart Association or American Red Cross- required
  • Completion of
    minimum 2 years' experience in General Diagnostic environment - preferred
  • Specialized in more
    than two areas above and Special Fluoroscopic Procedures/C-Arms - preferred
  • Ability to precept
    New Hires and Students
  • Accredited
    Radiologic Technologist Program graduate - required
  • Ability to adapt to
    advancement and changing technology
  • Knowledge of
    medical terminology, with ability to distinguish between types of procedures
    within the assigned department(s) and medical diagnoses
  • Skill in employing
    independent decision making while performing various job functions
  • Telephone manners
    and skills to handle heavy telephone lines with courtesy and tact
  • Understand the
    requirements of the EMTALA (Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act)
