WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

As programmatic advertising continues togrow, the health of the deal-based marketplace depends on improving the overall quality of deals, ensuring they are operationally efficient, and laying the groundwork for structured negotiations that unlock the full power of programmatic for buyers and sellers.

Deal Desk is the platform that brings structure, clarity, and intelligence to how deals are created, onboarded, and activated.We are looking for a Senior Director of Product to define and drive the next phase of Deal Desk's evolution,building a system that makes high-quality deals easier to negotiate, easier to manage, and easier to execute at scale.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

You will lead the Deal Desk Product Management team and own the strategy and roadmap for one of the platform's most important systems.

You will evolve Deal Desk into a structured, API-driven platform that:



  • Improves the quality and clarity of deals


  • Makes onboarding and ongoing management operationally efficient


  • Provides insights and tools that allow users to focus on performance rather than troubleshooting


  • Enables structured negotiations that scale cleanly within programmatic environments


  • Lay the foundation for future deal types


You will partner closely with Engineering, Data Science, and Commercial teams to ensure deal terms are transparent, measurable, and integrated directly into platform workflows. The platform should not only help buyers and sellers negotiate high-qualitydeals, butalso help them meet the terms of those deals through better pacing, prioritization, and visibility.

You will simplify inventory and deal management workflows, reduce fragmentation, and create clearer feedback loops so users can learn from outcomes and continuously improve future deals.

In addition, you will develop and mentor a high-performing team of Product Managers, fostering accountability, strategic clarity, and disciplined execution in a fast-paced, technically complex environment.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE



  • 12+ years of Product Management experience, includingsignificant experienceinadtech,deal-basedmarketplaces, or complex B2B systems


  • Deep understanding of how structured, API-driven systems scale operational workflows


  • Experience improving product quality by reducing ambiguity and operational friction


  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to set strategic direction and drive execution across multiple initiatives


  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with executive-level presence


  • A proventrack recordof partnering with engineering to deliver technically sophisticated software at scale


  • Durability and grit - meaningful platform evolution requires iteration and disciplined sequencing


  • A collaborative mindset focused on delivering the right outcomes, not just the right ideas.

The actual amount may differ based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and location. All employees may be eligible to become The Trade Desk shareholders through eligibility for stock-based compensation grants, which are awarded to employees based on company and individual performance. The Trade Desk also offers other compensation depending on the role such as variable compensation-based incentives and commissions. Plus, expected benefits for this role include comprehensive healthcare (medical, dental, and vision) with premiums paid in full for employees and dependents, retirement benefits such as a 401k plan and company match, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, well-being benefits, reimbursement for certain tuition expenses, parental leave, sick time of 1 hour per 30 hours worked, vacation time for full-time employees up to 120 hours thru the first year and 160 hours thereafter, and around 13 paid holidays per year. At the Trade Desk, Base Salary is one part of our competitive total compensation and benefits package and is determined using a salary range. The base salary range for this role is
$221,200 $405,600 USD
