Job Title: Machinist IV R&D Job Description: THE ROLE: Our site in Chaska, MN is seeking a Machinist IV R&D to join our team. Themachiningdepartmentproduces a variety of high-quality plastic components and partsthat our customers usewith other components to dispense, transport, and storea range ofdifferentchemicals.In this roleyou will set up andoperateboth manual and CNC machines,actively troubleshoot any technical challenges that may arise duringproduction.You will alsoassistmanufacturing operators through setup activities,as well as troubleshooting andescalating issues.This role will have the potential to grow and create relationships across the organization and be recognized fordemonstratedsuccess and adherence to company PACE values.If you are a motivated high performer who wants to work and learn in a fast-growing company, this role is designed for you. HOURS FOR THIS POSITION ARE DAY SHIFT MONDAY-FRIDAY WHAT YOU'LL DO: Downloads and interprets complex engineering blueprintsdetailing work order specifications todeterminemachine requirements to completethe order. Set ups andoperatesmanual and CNC machines (lathes, mills, grinders, 5-axis machines) to produce precision partsin accordance withwork order specifications. Assistsmanufacturing operators in understanding setup parameters and CNC machine settings forspecificworkorders. Ensures propersetup ofCNCprograms includinginstallingcutting tools, fixtures, and other accessoriesrequiredfor thepartsproduction. Collaborates with processtechniciantoprogram CNC mills or lathes when running a specific product for the first time utilizing MASTERCAM software and transfersmap files to CNC machines. Issues materials, enters work order information and status updates on SAP, and on a spreadsheet for record-keeping. Performs manual and CNC machine preventative maintenance tasks and housekeeping duties. Verifiesproduct visually andtakescorrective action when necessary.Ensuresproduct is consistent with established specificationsthrough Camline byutilizingdifferent measuring tools, such as calipers and drop indicators.Escalating quality issues as appropriate.Ensuring the highest possible product quality and adherence to the Entegris quality policy,ISOand/or other standards. Finalizes all required paperwork thoroughlyandtimely(i.e.Production Reports, Rack Tickets, Labels,ComponentSheets, Rework Sheets, SAP Transactions etc.).Maintainsaccurateattribute/variable charts of rejected materials. Integrates on all key business processes to influence customer satisfaction, waste elimination, growth, costeffectivenessand product/system quality.Promotes and implementsuseof continuous improvement tools toeliminatenon-value activities.Participatesactively in continuous improvement activities such as 6s, Kaizen events, etc. Maintains a clean and safe work area. Performs duties in a safe manner andobservesapproved safety procedures.Communicates potential hazardsimmediatelyto supervisor. Completes miscellaneoustasksassigned in support ofthe largerorganization and production goals. WHAT WE SEEK: Must be 18 years or older and have the right to work in the US without sponsorship. Vocational or technical training in machining ortwo (2) years ofequivalent experiencepreferred. Proficiencywithreading and interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints. Familiarity with manual and CNC machining equipment. Strong mechanical aptitude and machine troubleshooting skills. Basic knowledge about powered hand tools and measuring tools. Ability to perform basic math calculations. Basic computer and data entry skills. Ability to communicate effectively and work in a team setting. Attention to detail and commitment tomaintaininghigh-quality standards. Proven ability to execute manufacturing processes within a tight tolerance. Compensation: $34-$45 hourly range with actual pay dependent on candidate overall skills for the role. $3000 sign on bonus for external candidates only.
