Aon is hiring for a North America AMATS Operations Director for our growing mergers, acquisitions, and transactions solutions team!

The NA AMATS Operations Director oversees and manages the operational activities of the North Americagroup. This role ensures that all processes, systems, and teams function efficiently to meet businessobjectives, drive continuous improvement, and supports growth. The Operations Director provides strategic leadership, champions technology-driven innovation, fosters collaboration across departments, and implements best practices to optimizeperformance and quality.

This is a hybrid position is based in North America (New York, NY, Chicago, IL, or Houston, TX) and may require 20-25% travel.

What the day will look like:

  • Develop and execute operational strategies that align with the AMATSleadership team goals andobjectives
  • Drive process improvements, automation initiatives, and digital transformation
  • Direct and oversee technology development and implementation efforts, including but not limited to platforms such as Deal Cloud and the PE Platform, ensuring these technologies advance operational effectiveness and innovation.
  • Develop and execute the Target Operating Model strategy across AMATS; work with global teams tooptimizeprocesses andutilizelower cost teams to drive service excellence
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirementsand quality standards
  • Identifyand mitigate operational risks, developing contingencyplansas necessary.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and professional development among staff.
  • Report regularly on operational status, technology initiatives, challenges, and achievements to executive management.

Skills and experience that will lead to success:

  • 6+ years of progressive experience in operations management, preferably withinmanufacturingor technology sectors.
  • Strong leadership skills with proven ability to manage large, diverse teams.
  • Expertise inprocess improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.).
  • Experience in technology development, deployment, and management
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience with automation, digital manufacturing, and technology-driven operational environmenta plus
  • Proficiencywith Microsoft Office suite
  • P&C license preferred

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in operations management, Business Administration, or related field

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $134,600 to $170,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.

This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon's annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
