Cox Enterprises is hiring a Senior Executive Assistant. The Senior Executive Assistant, Environmental Advocacy and Marketing provides high-level executive support to the Senior Vice President, Environmental Advocacy and Marketing and the VP Brand Marketing enabling focus on enterprise strategy, leadership, and external engagement. This role operates as a trusted partner to the SVP and VP-anticipating needs, managing complex logistics, and ensuring readiness for high-stakes internal and external interactions across a global, highly visible portfolio. This position supports an executive whose work spans global advocacy campaigns, conservation partnerships, brand and content platforms, coalition leadership, and CEO- and Board-level engagement, requiring exceptional judgment, discretion, and organizational skill; and it supports a VP whose work spans multiple CEI functions from brand marketing, to travel and events.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Executive Support and Prioritization

  • Manage a complex and dynamic executive calendar, balancing internal leadership commitments, external partner engagement, and global forums.
  • Anticipate scheduling conflicts and proactively propose solutions to protect executive priorities and focus.
  • Serve as a trusted gatekeeper, ensuring time and attention are allocated to the highest-value activities.
  • Meeting Preparation and Follow-Through
  • Prepare meeting materials, background briefs, and talking points to ensure the SVP is fully informed and prepared.
  • Track action items and commitments from meetings and ensure timely follow-up and closure.
  • Coordinate with internal leaders and external partners to maintain momentum on key initiatives.


Travel and Logistics

  • Plan and manage complex domestic and international travel, including multi-stop itineraries and high-profile events.
  • Coordinate logistics for conferences, convenings, and external engagements (e.g., forums, panels, coalition meetings).
  • Ensure all travel and event details align with executive objectives and timing.
  • Communication & Coordination
  • Manage communications on behalf of the SVP as appropriate, including correspondence with senior internal leaders and external stakeholders
  • Partner closely with the Environmental advocacy program director to ensure alignment across scheduling priorities and execution
  • Support coordination across environmental advocacy leadership and key enterprise partners


Discretion and Judgement

  • Handle sensitive, confidential information with the highest level of discretion and professionalism
  • Exercise sound judgement in fast-moving situations, adapting quickly to changing priorities
  • Understanding the nuances of support needed for high caliber external stakeholders


QUALIFICATIONS

  • 6+ years of experience providing executive support to senior leaders in complex, high-visibility environments. A candidate with a Bachelor's Degree will have 2+ years of experience or a Master's Degree with generally 2 years of experience.
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities, anticipate needs, and operate with a high degree of independence.
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of discretion, integrity, and professionalism.
  • Comfort working across time zones and supporting global engagements.
  • Proficiency with standard office and collaboration tools (e.g., calendar, travel, presentation support).


USD 81,400.00 - 122,000.00 per year

Compensation:

Compensation includes a base salary of $81,400.00 - $122,000.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.

Benefits:

The Company offers eligible employees the flexibility to take as much vacation with pay as they deem consistent with their duties, the company's needs, and its obligations; seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year; and up to 160 hours of paid wellness annually for their own wellness or that of family members.
