  • Job Title: Demand Planer

    Location: Washington County OR 97005 (Onsite)

    Duration: 14+ months (Possible Extension)

    Pay Range: $31/hr. - $33/hr.

    Role Overview

    Planning team is seeking three (3) Lead Brand Assortment Planners to support a special project focused on elevating how Point of Sale (POS) and Key Performance Indicator (KPI) data is communicated to internal and external stakeholders.

    This role plays a critical part in helping sales teams and retail partners clearly understand what is working in the marketplace, where opportunities exist, and what healthy POS performance looks like. The ideal candidate brings strong retail acumen, advanced planning expertise, and the ability to translate complex data into clear, compelling insights that drive action.

    Key Responsibilities

    Marketplace & Assortment Planning



    • Lead pre-season assortment and financial planning in partnership with Marketplace Partners.
    • Develop style-level and category-level plans to inform buys, supply decisions, and financial targets.
    • Support stock and sales planning across footwear, apparel, or retail assortments.


    POS, KPI & Performance Analysis



    • Pull, analyze, and interpret POS and KPI data to assess marketplace health and performance.
    • Identify trends, risks, and opportunities through in-season sales and results analysis.
    • Craft concise, insight-driven headlines that clearly communicate what's working and what can be improved.


    Data Storytelling & Communication



    • Translate complex planning and performance data into easy-to-understand insights for stakeholders with varying levels of retail knowledge.
    • Communicate findings effectively to internal teams and external retail partners.
    • Influence decisions through strong storytelling, visual clarity, and actionable recommendations.


    Cross-Functional & External Collaboration



    • Partner closely with Sales, Merchandising, Planning, Brand, and Marketplace teams.
    • Engage externally with vertical retail partners such as Dick's Sporting Goods and similar accounts.
    • Act as a planning point person, ensuring alignment across internal and external stakeholders.


    Tools, Systems & Process Optimization



    • Utilize advanced Excel capabilities to support analysis, forecasting, and reporting.
    • Leverage planning tools such as o9 (Oh-Nine) where applicable.
    • Identify opportunities to improve planning processes, reporting clarity, and ways of working.



    Who You Will Work With



    • Marketplace Partner accounts
    • Sales, Merchandising, Brand, and Planning teammates
    • External retail partners and planning counterparts across North America


    You will operate within a highly cross-functional, matrixed environment that values collaboration, accountability, inclusion, and results.

    Required Qualifications (Must-Haves)



    • 5+ years of retail planning experience with strong assortment planning acumen.
    • Proven ability to analyze POS and KPI data and extract meaningful, actionable insights.
    • Strong data storytelling skills-able to simplify complex topics for diverse audiences.
    • Experience working in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with multiple stakeholders.
    • Advanced Excel proficiency.



    Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Haves)



    • Experience in stock and sales planning for footwear, apparel, or retail.
    • Experience using o9 (Oh-Nine) planning tools.
    • External engagement with vertical retail partners in environments similar to client.
    • Strong cross-functional experience working with both internal and external partners.



    Education & Additional Requirements



    • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Merchandising, Economics, Marketing, or a related field.
    • Willingness to travel up to 15% as needed.
