Production Lead

Assist the supervisor in leading daily production operations, including work assignments, training, and coverage for breaks and absences. Lead a shift to ensure safe, efficient production of quality products while completing sanitation tasks and meeting production goals. Maintain compliance with GMP, HACCP, safety, and all regulatory and plant policies, and document any production issues or missed targets. Promote a safe, sanitary food environment and continuous improvement.

Shift: 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM, Monday-Friday


Key Responsibilities

  • Support or lead production shifts in the supervisor's absence
  • Assign work, assist with training, and provide coverage as needed
  • Perform operator duties, including operating, cleaning, and maintaining equipment
  • Ensure product quality, equipment performance, and compliance with specifications
  • Enforce GMP, HACCP, safety, and regulatory requirements
  • Support safety-first culture and sanitary food practices
  • Communicate issues, document results, and escalate nonconformance
  • Demonstrate sound judgment, teamwork, and effective prioritization
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement


  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 4+ years of manufacturing/production experience (dairy or consumer goods preferred) with demonstrated leadership
  • Required certifications or licenses may be obtained during employment

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and company computer systems
  • Demonstrated leadership, teamwork, and strong interpersonal skills
  • Clear verbal and written communication abilities
  • Ability to handle conflict and challenging situations professionally
  • Problemsolving skills with the ability to suggest process improvements
  • Ability to follow direction, meet deadlines, and work independently
  • Ability to interpret and apply company policies
  • Adaptable to change and able to support others safely and effectively
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English
