Sales Estimator (Inside Sales)

STS Technical Services is hiring a Sales Estimator to support a growing manufacturing operation in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This is a strong opportunity for a detail oriented and technically skilled professional who understands manufacturing processes and thrives in a fast paced production environment.

If you can read blueprints, understand cost drivers, and translate technical specifications into accurate quotes, this role puts you at the center of sales and operations alignment.

The Sales Estimator supports the sales team by preparing accurate, competitive, and timely quotes based on customer specifications and manufacturing requirements. This position works closely with production, engineering, and sales teams to ensure pricing reflects true cost, labor, and material inputs.

• Prepare accurate and timely sales quotes based on customer drawings, specifications, and project requirements
  
• Review technical documentation to determine scope of work and manufacturing processes required
  
• Analyze labor, materials, overhead, and production time to develop competitive cost estimates
  
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to support accurate quoting
  
• Collaborate with sales and production teams to clarify specifications and resolve discrepancies
  
• Support continuous improvement of estimating processes and cost models
  
• Perform secondary operational or administrative tasks as needed to support daily business operations
  

• Prior manufacturing experience required
  
• Technical experience in a production or industrial environment
  
• Experience with cost estimating and pricing models
  
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
  
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and cost structures
  
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  
• Critical thinking and analytical problem solving ability
  
• Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate cross functionally
