Program Manager - Leadership Development

Position Summary

The Program Manager - Leadership Development is responsible for the development, deployment, facilitation and continuous improvement of programming and resources which advance the leadership skills, competencies and effectiveness of all Austin Powder Leaders and Future Leaders globally, aligned with our mission and vision, culture and strategic growth objectives. The Program Manager will partner closely with the Director, Organization Development on development of leadership acceleration and pipeline strategies through utilization of talent and succession planning processes. The Program Manager - Leadership Development reports to the Director, Organizational Development.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

Program Design and Delivery



  • Develops, deploys and facilitates engaging leadership development frameworks, programming and resources to advance the skills, competency and effectiveness of Austin Powder Leaders globally.
  • Collaborates with external vendors and thought leaders to incorporate best practices and innovative solutions into leadership development programming and resources.
  • Partners with Performance & Learning Systems Specialist to curate robust and diverse learning paths, deployed via the Learning Management System (LMS), which enhance our core Leadership Development offerings and present continuous learning opportunities for current and future leaders.


Leadership Assessment and Development



  • Participates in Organizational Talent Planning processes and discussions and uses outcomes to guide decision-making related to development of Leadership learning resources and programming.
  • Appropriately leverages leadership assessment tools (DiSC, MBTI, etc.) to identify leadership skills and competency strengths and development areas.
  • Creates formal and informal systems for staying connected with global leaders to stay apprised of talent gaps and leadership development needs.


Measurement and Reporting



  • Partners with Performance & Learning Systems Specialist to identify Leadership Effectiveness metrics, KPIs and dashboards.
  • Develops and maintains processes and tools for assessing the effectiveness of all Leadership Development programming and resources


Other



  • Maintains strong partnerships with Organizational Development Team Members, global Human Resources Team and Business Partners to ensure collaboration, information sharing and optimal program and project outcomes.
  • Completes all other projects assigned by the Director, Organizational Development.


Education and Experience



  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development or Psychology, General Business or related field
  • A minimum of five years of full-cycle Human Resources experience
  • Work experience with Leadership Development processes, including core Leadership Development learning, accelerated Leadership Development programming, Individual Development Planning, and Leadership Talent Planning
  • Work experience in a global and/or Center of Excellence organization, preferred

  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence others and work under minimal supervision

  • Detail orientation, with excellent follow-up practices and customer service mindset
  • Capability to multi-task, highly organized and ability to meet deadlines consistently
  • Demonstrated flexibility in adapting to a wide variety of tasks and functions
  • Strict adherence to confidentiality and high ethical standards
  • Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Forms, Copilot, Outlook) proficiency
  • Demonstrated instructor-led Leadership Development training facilitation
  • Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions in HR process improvement, preferred


Work Environment and Physical Demands



  • Travel up to 25%
  • Physical demands include sitting for extended periods of time while frequently typing, viewing computer screens and use of mouse/keyboard.
  • Operation of office equipment to include but not limited to telephones, printers, copiers, and scanners.
  • Repetitive motion of data entry, hand, finger wrist motion and dexterity.
  • May include filing and handling paperwork may involve repetitive reaching, grasping, or bending.
  • Light lifting and carrying of office supplies, files, or boxes (generally under 25 lbs.).
  • May need to set up for meetings (moving chairs, refreshments, etc.).
  • Will require walking and standing during the office hours, during events, meeting setup etc.
  • Good vision for reading and screen use.
  • Clear verbal communication and active listening, often over the phone or video calls.


Location



  • Beachwood, OH
  • Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8am - 5pm ET. Currently, operating under a hybrid schedule with in-office days M-T-W and remote on Thursday and Friday. The hybrid schedule is subject to change at any time and is not guaranteed based on the needs of the executive.
