To qualify for this internship applicant must be currently enrolled at a degree-seeking university or college



This is a part-time teller internship position that offers the following:



  • 15-19 hours per week
  • $16.00/hour
  • Flexible Schedule - work around your school schedule
  • May be renewable each semester



Your Role

Assist members with financial transactions accurately and efficiently. Identify opportunities to promote products, services and solutions that benefit members while building a positive relationship.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities



  • Receives and processes member financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and loan payments
  • Balances daily transactions and verifies cash totals. Investigates and resolves out-of-balance situations
  • Welcomes members and provides routine information concerning services, and directs members to the appropriate department for specific information and service
  • Identifies opportunities and cross-sells/offers products and services to members
  • Performs a variety of miscellaneous tasks, including computer input, answering the telephone, and other duties assigned
  • Provides friendly, professional service to members. Makes sure member's name is used during the transaction
  • Balances daily and is able to count and close drawer within 15 minutes at the end of a shift
  • Contributes a fair amount of branch transactions based on branch volume
  • Have no more than one posting error per month

Qualifications



  • Must be currently enrolled at a degree seeking university or college
  • Six to twelve months of cash handling and/or customer service experience
  • Team-oriented, member-focused, and enjoys helping others while performing routine tasks
  • Careful attention to details of work, including accuracy, balancing, and quality
  • Ability to operate office equipment, including computers, copiers/scanners, cash counting machines, and coin counters
  • Basic understanding of math and cash counting/handling skills
  • Ability to interpret and administer credit union policies and procedures
  • Maintains confidentiality related to credit union operations and member information
