Job Description
Primary Purpose Leads and oversees multi-disciplinary Supply Management teams responsible for procurement execution, strategic sourcing, contract management, logistics, and supplier performance for capital project execution and development portfolios. Partners closely with Project Development, Engineering & Construction, Operations, Legal, Finance, Project Controls, Risk, and executive leadership to ensure end-to-end supply chain alignment throughout the project lifecycle (Front End Loading (FEL) through Ready for Operations (RFO)).
Duties and Responsibilities
- Supports project development and execution by aiding supply chain transformation initiatives, including systems, process standardization, continuous improvement, and capability maturity.
- Ensures the implementation of robust contract strategies required for the contracting of services related to project development (permitting), execution (equipment, materials), and RFO.
- Serves as a senior reviewer within the different phases and gates of the company's Capital Value Process to ensure the success of EPC projects.
- Communicates sourcing strategies and results to senior leadership and governance bodies to ensure alignment with enterprise priorities.
- Directs the development and implementation of advanced reporting tools that provide actionable insights into purchasing, compliance, and supplier effectiveness.
- Directs the organization's approach to managing contracts, ensuring favorable terms and consistent service delivery across all agreements.
- Drives strategic planning for materials and inventory, integrating forecasting and optimization practices to support growth and operational resilience.
- Establishes long-term supplier engagement strategies that align with organizational goals and enhance overall performance.
- Optimizes freight cost efficiency and delivery liability for all multimodal transportation systems.
- Shapes the organization's logistics strategy by aligning storage, distribution, and transportation functions to support operational excellence.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education
- Requires a 4-year degree. Advanced degree, such as MBA or equivalent or advanced professional certifications (e.g. CPSM, CSCP) preferred.
Experience
- Typically requires 12 years of related experience.
- 15+ years of experience supporting the development and execution of capital projects (e.g., EPC) including LNG, renewables, pipelines, infrastructure, and other types of complex capital-intensive projects.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Claims Management - including mitigation, defense and negotiations of contractors' claims.
- Negotiation Skills - Ability to set negotiation strategies and participate in highly complex contract negotiations.
- Project Assurance - full understanding of the project quality lifecycle including Front End Loading (FEL) development and approval gates.
- Influencing Skills - Ability to engage and influence executive and senior management in the decision-making process, implementation of strategies and in other commercial and contractual aspects.
- Contract Management - Streamlining the creation, execution, storage or renewal of contracts, with a focus on compliance, often via software or other automated means.
- Data Analysis - Measuring and managing organization data, identifying methodological best practices and conducting statistical analyses.
- Demand Forecasting - Estimating the quantity of goods and services the organization realistically expects sell over the forecast period.
- Inventory Management - Managing overall inventory by controlling, overseeing, maintaining and storing products for sale. Ensuring proper inventory management to support all order fulfillment.
- Logistics Management - The part of the supply chain process that plans, implements, and controls the efficient, effective flow and storage of goods, services, and related information from the point of origin to the point of consumption to meet customer requirements.
- Purchasing/Procurement Strategy - Refers to The governance framework and roadmap for the way the organization conducts its procurement activity and runs its procurement function.
- Regulatory Compliance - Ensuring an organization's adherence to laws, regulations, guidelines and specifications relevant to its business processes.
- Supply Chain Management - Supply chain management is the management of the flow of goods and services and includes all processes that transform raw materials into final products.
- Supply Chain Risk Management - A systematic process for managing supply chain risk by identifying susceptibilities, vulnerabilities, and threats throughout the supply chain and developing mitigation strategies to combat those threats whether presented by the supplier, the supplies product and its subcomponents, or the supply chain (e.g., initial production, packaging, handling, storage, transport, mission operation, and disposal).
- Vendor Management - Overseeing relationships with key vendors and partner organizations that deliver products, services, and support to the business. Negotiating and managing contracts with key service providers to ensure service levels are set appropriately and met on an ongoing basis.
Licenses and Certifications
- Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) preferred.
- Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) preferred.
Other Working Conditions
- Approximately 25% travel to Port Arthur LNG site and Ensenada, MX.
Work Schedule
HYBRID: Work a combination of onsite and remote days each week, typically 4 days per week onsite.

$173,500.00 - $305,500.00 / year
