As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government education location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support staff, students, and visitors with strong customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to students, staff, and visitors by following site-specific policies, supporting access control at entrances, and assisting with visitor check-in and/or badge procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of school buildings, hallways, parking areas, athletic fields, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance and/or security-related concerns.
  • Monitor CCTV, alarms, and other security-related systems as assigned, documenting unusual activity and communicating observations to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including supporting evacuation, lockdown, severe weather, and/or medical response activities as directed by site procedures.
  • Complete detailed reports of daily activities, incidents, and observations, and coordinate with school staff and local public responders when requested.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A minimum of 6 months of security experience is required.
  • A valid driver's license from the state in which the job is located is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
