Join Clariant's North America Crop Solutions technical team and work directly with the Technical NORAM Manager to support the Care Chemicals Business Unit, Crop division. This day shift position offers hands-on experience preparing agrochemical formulations and executing synthesis reactions. Responsibilities
- Prepare agrochemical and adjuvant formulations and samples following established protocols
- Execute testing procedures and make adjustments to pre-established guidelines and SOPs based on observations
- Perform synthesis reactions following established procedures and safety protocols
- Maintain accurate and detailed laboratory notebooks documenting all work and observations
- Conduct data entry, analysis, and create graphs and charts to visualize results
- Perform safety inspections and ensure compliance with laboratory safety standards
- Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment to ensure proper functioning
- Manage chemical inventory, including ordering, receiving, and proper storage of materials
- Coordinate shipping of samples and materials as needed
- Execute day-to-day tactical duties to maintain the laboratory in working order
- Communicate technical information, observations, and data clearly to team members and the Technical Manager
- Work safely with pesticides and hazardous chemicals using appropriate personal protective equipment
- Troubleshoot problems and apply analytical thinking to resolve technical issues
- Collaborate with team members on laboratory projects and initiatives
Requirements
- 0-3 years of hands on laboratory skills in school, research, or prior work experience
- Bachelor's degree in a science field highly preferred; High School Diploma minimum requirement
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
