Risk Management and Compliance Manager - JLL What this job involves:

The Risk Management and Compliance Manager plays a critical role in safeguarding JLL's operations by designing and implementing comprehensive risk management strategies that protect both our organization and our clients. This position serves as the cornerstone of account-level risk governance, ensuring adherence to contractual obligations, regulatory requirements, and JLL's ethical standards while proactively identifying and mitigating potential risks. You'll work directly with account leadership and cross-functional teams to build robust risk frameworks that enable business growth while maintaining the highest standards of compliance and operational excellence. This role offers the opportunity to directly impact JLL's reputation and client relationships while developing expertise across multiple facets of commercial real estate risk management.

What your day-to-day will look like:
  • Design and lead comprehensive risk management strategies for assigned accounts, including maintenance of risk registers, implementation of internal audit programs, and oversight of compliance initiatives that align with JLL and client standards
  • Conduct thorough reviews of Master Services Agreements, perform gap analyses on material contract obligations, and manage contract change control processes to ensure full compliance with client requirements
  • Execute annual risk assessments for accounts and develop risk treatment recommendations, while regularly reviewing processes and procedures to enhance control effectiveness and operational efficiency
  • Identify emerging risk areas through systematic analysis and evaluation, recommending enhancements to existing practices and controls to maintain alignment with company and client standards
  • Prepare and deliver detailed audit reports and risk presentations to account leadership, operations teams, and clients, summarizing findings, trends, and actionable recommendations for risk mitigation
  • Coordinate with external auditors and JLL Legal teams to manage audit processes, provide evidence, address findings, and serve as liaison for claims or legal matters affecting the account
  • Lead incident management processes including prompt escalation protocols, client communications for high-severity incidents, and development of lessons learned communications for stakeholder education
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Risk Management, or related field from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of 5 years of direct experience in risk management, internal audit, external audit, or compliance roles with demonstrated progression of responsibilities
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel including complex data analysis, report generation, pivot tables, and dashboard creation for risk reporting and metrics tracking
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively and build relationships across all organizational levels, from field personnel to executive leadership, with strong presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making capabilities with experience analyzing complex business scenarios and developing practical solutions
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to prepare detailed reports, present findings to diverse audiences, and facilitate cross-functional collaboration
  • Experience supporting audit processes, including evidence gathering, documentation review, and remediation planning for audit findings
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Risk Management Professional (CRMP), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), or Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP)
  • Experience in commercial real estate, property management, or facilities management industries with understanding of sector-specific risks and regulatory requirements
  • Knowledge of legal and regulatory frameworks affecting commercial real estate operations, including contract law, insurance requirements, and industry compliance standards
  • Familiarity with risk management software platforms, audit management systems, and enterprise risk management tools and methodologies
  • Experience with incident management systems and crisis communication protocols, including client notification procedures and stakeholder management
  • Background in ethics and compliance programs, including investigation processes, training development, and regulatory reporting requirements
  • Previous experience working in client-facing roles or managing relationships with external stakeholders in professional services environments

Estimated compensation for this position:

105,380.00 - 129,030.00 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
