Job Description

Continuous Improvement Supervisor

Position Summary

The Continuous Improvement Supervisor position will coordinate 6S and improvement projects to improve the operation and flow of products and operation efficiency. Serves as a primary point of contact and liaison with outside vendors, internal operations and other PCC facilities for continuous improvement. Involved with a wide range of functional areas outside the operation. Work with production supervisors and managers to improve work areas, processes and quality systems.

Essential Functions:

  • Work with facility operations leaders to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Be a leader in communication to drive a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Provide analysis of current state and recommendations for improvements.
  • Maintain and communicate metrics which record successes and track progress.
  • Coordinate 6S audits/auditors, manage and present 6S results and other engineering initiatives associated with continuous improvement.
  • Develop and implement associate engagement techniques such as Kaizen, 6S, and other similar programs or teams, harness the intellectual energy of ALL associates to drive continuous improvement.
  • Work with corporate and division resources to drive Lean, CI, and 6S initiatives.
  • As a result of the above activities and processes, execute programs that result in measurable improvements in performance.
  • Serves as a primary point of contact and liaison with outside vendors, internal operations and other PCC facilities for 6S and improvement projects.
  • Work with production supervisors and managers to improve processes and quality systems.
  • Involved with a wide range of functional areas outside the operation.
  • Work with Quality and Operations teams to ensure 6S procedures are functioning properly and followed by staff.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in 6S quality systems within a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Thorough understanding of the business and supply chain.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Extremely proficient with production planning systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and related software.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven ability to work independently as well as in group/team settings.
  • Ability to present information and data in an understandable and logical manner.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Ability to document, plan, and execute programs.

Experience & Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics or Engineering Technology.
  • Continuous Improvement knowledge and experience.
