Joint Research and Development LLC is seeking a SharePoint Administrator with at least five years' experience configuring, administering and deploying new sites in addition to employing AI tools to extract and analyze data contained within the sites. The successful candidate will manage, enhance, support, and optimize multiple Microsoft 365 SharePoint Online environments serving over 400 users across a portfolio of companies. This role is responsible for enterprise-level administration, governance, performance optimization, Power Platform integration, and supporting a future migration of individual site data to Microsoft 365 GCC High, while ensuring the commercial instance remains secure, well- organized and optimized for collaboration. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise in SharePoint Online administration, regulated environments, integrating Power Platform solutions across enterprise business units and processes, and user support. This position plays a key role in improving site structure, maintaining workflows built in Power Apps and Power Automate and ensuring a reliable scalable digital workplace.

Roles/Responsibilities:

Manage SharePoint Online site collections, hubs, subsites, lists, libraries, and content structures. Partner with business units to understand needs and translate them into SharePoint solutions.

Administer and maintain SharePoint Online tenant

  • Lead or support SharePoint site modernization and consolidation initiatives
  • Plan and execute cross-tenant migrations (GCC High)
  • Maintain and optimize metadata, content types, views, and document management practices
  • Oversee permissions and access control using SharePoint groups and Azure AD security groups
  • Monitor site performance, storage usage, and overall health
  • Implement improvements to site navigation, usability, and information architecture
  • Support, troubleshoot, and enhance Power Apps forms and applications connected to SharePoint
  • Maintain and optimize Power Automate workflows, including approvals, notifications, and data integrations
  • Monitor flow performance, error logs, and environment health
  • Collaborate with business users to refine automation and streamline processes
  • Provide Tier 2/3 support for SharePoint and workflow-related issues
  • Develop user guides, quick reference materials, and training sessions
  • Promote best practices for document management, collaboration, and workflow usage

Required Skills and Education:

  • Five plus years of experience administering SharePoint Online environments
  • Hands-on experience with Power Apps and Power Automate
  • Strong understanding of SharePoint permissions, governance, and information architecture
  • Proficiency with Office 365 and SharePoint Admin Center
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex issues involving workflows, permissions, and integrations
  • Strong communication skills and ability to support a diverse user base
  • Experience supporting compliance programs including providing evidence/artifacts to substantiate controls, recommending compliance solutions, and maintaining configuration settings in accordance with documented policies and requirements
  • Understanding of virtual desktop environments for accessing SharePoint sites
  • Experience with Teams/SharePoint integration and content lifecycle management
  • Knowledge of business-to-business access rules and establishing outside connections
  • Familiarity with NIST 800-171 compliance
  • Power BI experience for reporting and analytics
  • Baccalaureate Degree
