Overall Summary

As Manufacturing Engineer II, you will plan and develop a manufacturing process. You must determine the optimum fabrication methods, develop procedures, perform process validations, and track progress toward completion of a project.

Your duties will include:



  • Using engineering prints, the engineer must be able to prepare router steps, CNC part programs, work instructions and bill of materials for designed parts and assemblies.
  • Conduct process capability studies and adjust the process accordingly.
  • Understand tooling and fixturing requirements needed to manufacture the product.
  • Investigate or troubleshoot manufacturing issues and develop and implement solutions to these problems.
  • Assist other engineers, engineering technicians and operators on equipment and process operations.
  • Track projects to completion. Handle multiple projects.
  • Work with design engineers on the manufacturability of new products. Experienced knowledge using geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
  • Use of CAD/CAM to produce CNC part programs.
  • Develop cost analysis for new products and process improvements.
  • Overall good working knowledge with the majority of the machine tools in the plant.
  • Develop and track cost savings ideas and participate in scrap reduction projects

About You

...are knowledgeable in many manufacturing processes, such as CNC machining, manual machining and grinding. You must have a working knowledge of CAD/CAM systems.

YOUR EDUCATION

Required: High School Diploma or GED

Preferred: Bachelor's Degree

YOUR EXPERIENCE

Minimum of 4 years' experience in a manufacturing engineering position & minimum of 4 years' experience in a machine shop environment.
