Medical Assistants (MA) in the medical office setting supports providers by delivering direct and indirect patient care in a professional, courteous, and efficient manner. The MA may assist with clinical procedures, maintains accurate documentation, and provides administrative support to ensure smooth daily operations. The MA functions within their defined scope of practice (based on office type clinic/HOD), under supervision, and in alignment with Mercy's mission and standards of care.
Position Details:
Medical Assistant - Mercy Clinic Pulmonary & Sleep Medicine - Mercy South Schedule: Full Time, 40 Hours per Week, Monday to Friday Qualifications Education:High School Diploma or equivalent Preferred Experience:1 year of applicable patient care experience or applicable medical office experience as defined by clinic Primary Responsibilities: * Room patients, take vitals * Instrument maintenance and prep * Stock exam rooms * Documentation, scanning * Point of care testing * Basic in basket and refills * Communicate with physician or APP * Follow protected information policy, follow OSHA standards * Adopt PPE and Quality/Safety Policies * Medication reconciliation, injection administration * Schedule appointments, medical record releases * Diagnostic and ancillary order entry From day one, Mercy offers outstanding benefits - including medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, tuition support, and matched retirement plans for team members working 32+ hours per pay period.
