Our major Pharmaceutical client is seeking an experienced and proactive Scrum Master to facilitate agile ceremonies and drive delivery for cross-functional initiatives centered around design systems, component-driven development, and UI documentation using Storybook and Figma. This role supports product, design, and engineering teams in building scalable, consistent, and high-quality digital experiences by orchestrating sprints, removing blockers, and fostering a high-performing agile culture.

The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in Agile delivery across cross-functional teams, with a focus on design system adoption, reusable UI components, and front-end collaboration workflows leveraging Storybook and Figma.

A highly experienced and certified Scrum Master with a proven ability to lead Agile teams in fast-paced product and design-system environments. Brings strong experience facilitating Agile delivery for teams building and governing shared UI component libraries and design standards.

Core Skills & Experience

  • Expert in Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) with a strong track record of facilitating sprint ceremonies, backlog refinement, and cross-team coordination.
  • Skilled in coaching teams and stakeholders on Agile best practices, fostering transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Proficient in supporting design and engineering teams using Figma for design system definition and Storybook for component documentation, testing, and collaboration.
  • Strong understanding of component-driven UI development, including reusable components, versioning, and visual consistency.
  • Adept at working with product managers, UX/UI designers, and front-end engineers to deliver high-quality, scalable user interfaces.
  • Skilled in managing stakeholder expectations and ensuring timely delivery of program milestones.
  • Proficient in Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Adobe Workfront.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate all Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, reviews) across multiple workstreams related to design system and Storybook-based initiatives.
  • Create and manage executive health dashboards and present program status, risks, and dependencies to senior leadership.
  • Create and maintain detailed delivery plans, holding teams accountable to sprint and program commitments.
  • Serve as an Agile coach and mentor for cross-functional teams, including UX designers, front-end engineers, and product managers.
  • Partner with stakeholders to ensure sprint goals align with design system objectives, including reusable components, standardized UI patterns, and accessibility considerations.
  • Support product owners in backlog refinement and prioritization for initiatives involving Storybook component libraries, Figma design tokens, and UI governance.
  • Proactively identify and remove blockers while tracking risks, dependencies, and cross-team impacts.
  • Promote continuous improvement by gathering team feedback and optimizing Agile delivery practices.
  • Track and report key Agile metrics (velocity, burn-down, capacity) to support transparency and data-driven decisions.
  • Coordinate with QA and engineering teams to support component testing, visual regression workflows, and release readiness for shared UI assets.

Required Qualifications

  • 3-5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master in a product, design-system, or front-end engineering environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum principles, frameworks, and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
  • Familiarity with Storybook for UI component documentation and collaboration.
  • Experience supporting teams using Figma design systems (tokens, components, libraries).
  • Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and drive Agile adoption.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM), SAFe, or equivalent certification preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience supporting design system initiatives or component libraries used across multiple products or platforms.
  • Understanding of component-driven development, front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Vue, Angular), and modern UI workflows.
  • Familiarity with visual regression testing, accessibility standards, and UI quality governance.
  • Prior experience working with enterprise-scale product or platform teams.
