**About the Opportunity**

As a key member of our client's dynamic team, you will play a critical role in their ongoing modernization journey. You'll be instrumental in transitioning complex reporting solutions from legacy systems to advanced, high-performance data platforms. This isn't just about technical migration; it's about re-imagining and optimizing how data is presented, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and scalability. You will collaborate closely with various teams, applying your specialized knowledge to design, develop, and deploy cutting-edge business intelligence solutions that drive strategic initiatives and deliver profound business value.

**What You'll Do**

* Lead the transition of existing reporting solutions to modernized data sources and platforms, ensuring seamless migration and enhanced performance.

* Evaluate and optimize complex reporting logic, data models, and technical dependencies, leveraging your deep understanding of business intelligence tools and analytical modeling languages.

* Apply specialized expertise in developing modern BI solutions, analytical modeling, and robust dataset design to create impactful reports and dashboards.

* Drive the migration and rebuilding of enterprise reporting services reports into advanced business intelligence platforms and pixel-perfect reporting tools.

* Make critical technical decisions for project components, exercising considerable latitude in defining methods, requirements, and sequencing to meet ambitious delivery timelines.

* Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements, document logic changes, and communicate technical decisions effectively.

**What You'll Bring**

* 5+ years of hands-on experience developing modern business intelligence solutions, encompassing advanced data modeling, creating complex analytical expressions, and designing impactful reports and dashboards.

* Advanced experience in converting or rebuilding enterprise reporting services reports into modern BI platforms or pixel-perfect reports.

* Proven experience transitioning reports to new data sources, including updating data queries, validating complex logic, and redesigning datasets for optimal performance.

* Proficiency with structured query languages for validating data sources, rebuilding data queries, and comprehending legacy reporting datasets.

* Proficiency in advanced data transformation and shaping tools for robust data preparation.

* Strong understanding of dataset architecture, model optimization, relationships, and performance tuning.

* Ability to meticulously analyze existing reporting logic and accurately replicate or enhance it within modern BI platforms or pixel-perfect reporting tools.

* Experience working with large and complex datasets, demonstrating a capacity for handling intricate data environments.

* Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, crucial for documenting requirements, logic changes, and technical decisions.

**Bonus Points If You Have**

* Advanced proficiency in analytical modeling languages, including time-intelligence functions, advanced modeling patterns, and calculation optimization.

* Experience building enterprise-grade semantic models or reusable datasets within modern BI platforms.

* Experience with specialized report builder tools for developing pixel-perfect paginated reports.

* Familiarity with the migration of reporting solutions within large enterprise environments, understanding the nuances of complex organizational structures.

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $48.19 to $53.54 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
