You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and leadership to development teams, ensuring alignment with architectural standards and best practices
  • Solution Design: Design and document scalable, secure, and efficient software architectures that meet business requirements
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders, including product managers, business analysts, and developers, to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions
  • Technology Evaluation: Evaluate and recommend tools, frameworks, and technologies to improve system performance, scalability, and maintainability
  • Code Reviews/Collaboration: Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to architectural principles, coding standards, and quality guidelines. Collaboration with dev team to ensure timely deliverables and resolve any technical blockers
  • Performance Optimization: Identify and address performance bottlenecks, ensuring systems are optimized for speed and reliability
  • Documentation: Create and maintain architectural documentation, including diagrams, technical specifications, and guidelines
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks in the architecture and propose mitigation strategies
  • Compliance: Ensure that solutions comply with industry standards, security protocols, and regulatory requirements
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate AI/innovative practices into the architecture

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
  • 8+ years of experience in software development, with 3+ years in an architectural or leadership role
  • Experience with databases (SQL and NoSQL) and data modeling
  • Proven experience designing and implementing scalable, distributed systems
  • Knowledge of industry trends and emerging technologies
  • Solid knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Expertise in microservices architecture, APIs, and integration patterns
  • Proficiency in multiple programming languages (e.g., Python, Java)
  • Proven solid problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Proven ability to mentor and guide development teams

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert)
  • Claims processing/EDI related knowledge

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $112,700 to $193,200 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
